Whenever I hear Pearl Jam cover the Who, I can't decide who's more awesome - Eddie and the band for paying respect to the greatest band of all time, or the Pearl Jam fans who know every lyric and sing along. Props to PJ for bringing the Who to their generation.
I like The Who but man, Pearl Jam is the greatest fucking band ever. Whenever I hear Stone break into that intro, wether have my iPod on shuffle and it randomly comes on or even when I know it's coming, I always break a huge smile.
The who is more unique using instruments suck as a keyboard and hermoniCa vocals are better and a couple are dead and a few are around sixty years old the who is a legendary band and pearl jam should stay with their original music which I actually like

Personally I think it's awesome when someone covers a great tune. Like Soundgarden's Come Together. Metallica's Turn The Page or even Johnny Cash's Rusty Cage....not Hurt though. I didn't even like that song when Reznor did it.
my favorite part of The Who's version was obviously the YEAAHHH after the chorus. Eddie puts his own little touch on it here, and makes it just as special!!

Absolutely AMAZING show. The NRG was palpable and it was so...much...fun.
