I'm thankful that they removed the wand. It was an eye sore that detracted from the beauty of Spaceship Earth. Now they just have to destroy the hideous sorcerer hat in front of the Great Movie Ride.
Thank Goodness, Epcot looks like the EPCOT Walt Disney wanted it to be. It was cute for 2000 but Walt wanted to build a city of the future, not another Character park. Judging that you made a tribute to the wand, I'm guessing you really like the Nemo ride.
Why would u care about Epcot looks? As long as people enjoy the park is all that mattters. Walt wanted people to enjoy Epcot. The city was never build and it never will be! The city idea turned into a park. Get over it
The park is built on the city's priciples and I accept the fact that the city never will be built. It is a themepark, but it's an educational themepark if you havent noticed. You obviously havent learned a lesson from the park like I have. The park's much more enjoyable now without that monstrosity. How would you feel if they built a giant, tacky billboard over Cinderella's castle that said "Magic Kingdom" that certainly would NOT be enjoyable.
You know what people like you piss me off because all you want is to be entertained and you expect others to do that for you, some of us want to enjoy the park as it was supposed to be and not have to look at that fucking eysore that told us we were at EPCOT, Spaceship Earth should have been enough.
How pleasant. Your "courtesy" makes me wish they had made the wand bigger...and with Vegas style lights. I think the wand was cool, like the hat at MGM. I'd hate to hear what you have to say about that. Anyway, I love the tribute and I miss the wand. But at least they have Nemo at the park :)

oh no. they just removed the mickey hand and the wand from above the ball. they are in the process of refurbishing the ride, and it should be done in the next few months. sorry for the confusion! i miss the wand, but they felt the need to remove it and return it to its original wand-less state.
I miss it! It added as a symbol of epcot and it was so beautiful as night. Why disney? Why
