it's been 10 years since Meteor Garden was aired - and I know a lot of the newer generation won't understand the impact this drama has made 10 years ago... it was phenomenal... I don't think that those who like Boys Over Flowers should convince people that BOF is better... because Meteor Garden is something stored in the treasure chest already and even the music is legend... BOF was entertainment.

For one, Jiro is the actor of Xiu Yi and the guy who plays the main leader of F4 (Dao Ming Si) is Jerry Yan. :) So, totally different people. :) However, Jerry did act in a drama with Ella. It's called "Down With Love" and it's really cute ^^ Hope that helps!
Wow the Japanese version of F4 is way better, at least they're good looking, the only one that looks cute in this is fei, the taiwanese version of ji hoo
tbh HYD was much more concise and effective out of the three (the last bit with the pageant was very well done) but MG will always be the fav because I lived through the craze.
BOF is just subpar. yeah stylish and fashionable but terrible acting and soundtrack. ~almost paaaaaaaradiiiiise... headache-inducing

MG made a break through when taiwanese drama was not popular over asia. BOF became popular thanks to popularity of Korean drama. I've watched all 3 versions hoping to enjoy the new and younger actors. But I couldn't finish BOF, I got bored as early as 3rd episode. HYD is a bit scary (haha!) and too serious so I didn't finish too. They just don't have the fun of MG.
Nothing beats Meteor Garden1. I agree MG2 is not that amazing. If Ximen wasn't so handsome (be still my heart!) in that series, no way I would hv watched it from start to finish. And Yesha is the character we all love to hate and I so hate her annoying laugh, she's pretty though. But there is no chemistry between her and DMS!

The guys from BoF look better because BoF was made in 2009, MG was made in 2001!!! It's normal that the fashion changed and all of us (I just consider us all as 10-20 year olds xD) like the style of BoF more. Fashion goes with time.

I think each one has its good and bad parts, but in my opinion most of the people goes with the one they saw first and that's why there are always fights of the fans in the comments xD

MG F4 is really more bad tempered than BOF F4,its just that BOF F4 dressed better than this guys,but I love MG more than BOF..The only part that I dont like is when Ah zi has an amnesia,it took too long to gain his memory,in BOF it took shorter time,thats y I like it.

HYD was awful and doesn't compare to BOF or Meteor Garden. So far the only person whose clothes I don't dig is the glasses dude. And I'm shallow, I didn't watch Full House cause Rain's shirts offended me with their ugliness.
@xchrissa I'm just too shallow. I couldn't watch all of HYD for two reasons: I didn't find the guys attractive enough and the acting made me want to punch someone. The only way I could even sit through the boring plot of BOF is because Lee Minho and Kim Hyun Joong are really cute,
But, with this show, even with the oftentimes preposterous clothes I can still watch because Vanness and Ken are just hilarious as Akira and Soujiro. And Jerry reminds me of Changmin and Vanness is so stinking cute.
well, in some aspects u may be right, but in this version the relationship between the F4 is waaaaayy better than the korean and japanese versions, if u see the second season u'll know what i mean. and also i like the point that the guys here r all grown ups and mature not like the others they r still high school students.

It will always be the original, the standard by which all others are measured. This is - for me - still, the best Asianovela ever. It's impact on Asia is undeniably magnitudes more than BOF or Hana Yori Dango.
