  • BEST FEMALE VOCALIST EVER.

Even if her voice changed through the years, NOBODY WILL REACH THIS LEVEL, EVER.

    # FACT.

  • That once in a lifetime manifestation of pure beauty....you can only wish for it in a season, you can't ask for it for a lifetime!

  • Ms Whitney Houston singing for the greatest! My hero Muhammad Ali!! Love him and LOVE Whitney Houston!!!!

  • Whitney was such a irreplacable singer at all time!! When she performed in different situation, she can manage to use a totally diverse method to sing the same song, that's incredible and professional!!

  • SEXUAL CHOCOLATE!

  • No, regardless of the FACT that she's gone, it's still difficult to accept. An entire generation has to come to terms with the loss of its VOICE!

  • @AAwildeone I agree! It's hard!

  • The voice of an angel is gone and will no longer grace us, I believe this is her signature song, her words ring true for all of us, lets teach our children that love is the ultimate goal in our lives. We will miss you Whitney, but we thank God that your music that will live in our hearts forever

  • "No matter what they say ...... they can't take away my dignity" But they tried and they did not and will not succeed Whitney. You were a meteor that came from the heavens and blazed through our world shining a bright and precious light and returned back to your creator. Too soon for everyone but you have been called back.

And no one can take that from you.

  • Heaven must have needed an angel. RIP Whitney. Thanks for the time you spent with us.

  • love and respect for Whitney houston

  • DIVA!

  • The BADDEST person to ever pick up a mic!!

  • Can you imagine? Whitney Houston dead? How can this earth accept her body without tears and rejection? Such a lovely woman, such a voice and such a warmhearted woman, broke by a bad man. One muhammad ali, and one whitney houston

  • @78Panji I don't thimk u can blame a man for her destiny. She is amazing, her legacy will last.

  • We all knew what happened to her due to a bad marriage. I just told my wife: I love her so much, never let bad things happen to her.

  • The Greatest Whitney Houston

  • Unbelievable Loss

  • I think even Ali wod gave to agree that when it comes to singing, whitneys the real heavyweight champ- simply stunning voice and beauty. rip

  • <3 resterai sempre nei nostri cuori! <3

  • Hope they release this performance on DVD. God Given talent...Whitney, thanks for lifting our spirits!!!! See ya later my friend.

  • I know Ali is so sad tonight,it's been a rough few months.so many of his friends has pass on.

  • Whitney's voice has absolute magic. The sweetness like this is so rare to find. She really was one of a kind. A real talent. So sad she left at such early age.

  • One of the greatest RIP

  • Great artist RIP your music is your legacy.

  • RIP..great great performance.

  • Hope you have found peace Whitney. RIP

  • RIP, I didn't know much of her music , but the ones I did were amazing

  • RIP WHITNEY!!!! What a great voice.

  • Smoking etc leaves resin on the chords. Even Dusty Springfield, quit smoking and years later in the 90's her voice was back 2 normal after losing it's power. If only Whitney would listeb. Now she sounds like either Kci or Jo jo from Jodeci, which ever one is the crackiest. Forgot who!

  • @Davylp Asshole!

  • a blessing to us all. there is a reason she is the best live singer ever and known as THE VOICE. never will be another like sweet whitney.

  • Jesus CHRIST.

  • Agreed -- while the drugs certainly didn't help, she simply overused her voice. Celine was "fortunate" that her voice collapsed early on. She didn't sing or even talk for weeks and then learned how to protect her voice. Whitney kept pushing herself, including (or perhaps especially) that devastating Bodyguard tour.

  • BRAVO! BRAVO! BRAVO!

  • goddamn.

  • FYI...Whitney was stabbed in the throat when she was younger by her brother...she says one inch and she would have lost her voice. Whitney also had polyps in her throat...so please stop worrying about why she lost her voice but pray for her...and despite she doesn't sing the same she sounds a lot better than most of the so called hot artist out here.

  • Ounce in one thousand years. Beautiful.

  • the voice, the class, the look, the body. Whitney is literally flawless

  • whitney did some serious saaaaaaaaaangin' here. you gotta love those days...

  • There Will Never Be Another Whitney She Is The Best Period.

  • it was 1992 and I'd say her voice had already lost some power...

any specialist could tell us what year her voice peaked??

  • @itnow Her voice started to decay in 1992, after the Bodyguard (and specially after her marriage with Bobby). Whitney said that about that year, she began to use heavy drugs and along the 90´s, her voice began to "disappearing" and getting weaker. She also said that before the Bodyguard, she used "slight" drugs. In general, it started to get worse in 1992. Sad.

  • @185MyVideos thx very much , in fact her performance I had selected in my faves dates from 1991...the year she belted out the us anthem so astoundingly...

now Ray Charles was also on drugs and kept a good voice...didn't she simply forget to save her voice ?

  • I must agree with those four words at the beginning of your statement. " SHE WAS IN A LEAGUE OF HER OWN!! YOU never lied about that one!!! Just Simply The BEST Female Vocalist Ever To Date, In my Opinion!!!!

  • @Lillybudsable 100% agreed.

  • @Lillybudsable: I agree 100%.

  • @Lillybudsable I agree! She was the BEST female vocalist EVER! There will NEVER be another like her! RIP Whitney!

  • OMG, just flawless

  • She does it so easily. Like it's nothing. Ugh, but then again, she IS Whitney Houston.

  • I cant belive a year ago I was the FIRST one to comment on one of her BEST performances of this song! Whitney I loovee you more than everyone else!!!! Like seriously...I do

  • her voice is truly a gift from God B/c ain't nobody in this world that can sing like this woman.

  • i hate the fact that she makes a 3 minutes song last one hour, and unrecognizable

  • @Fsoaresl And I hate the fact that other artists just sing a song in a plain way as they sing in studio and show no emotion to what they sing.

  • @iloveabba91 i love adele... whitney just oversings and makes it boring... but I recognize she's a great singer... i stay arguing with you about female singers... bye

  • @Fsoaresl I love Whitney... Adele just sings live in a plain simple way and does nothing new to improve the song. It's just exactly like in the studio version... but I recognize that she is a talented singer... i love one of the greatest (if not the greatest) female singer ever that set the standard for female artists , you prefer a new comer that still contribute much less to music... bye

  • @Fsoaresl excuse me chile........whitney rules

  • @iloveabba91 she does not over sing everything. She shows emotion. that cant be boring

  • @amaurice1984 What are you talking about? Please read carefully before reply!

  • @Fsoaresl boring you must be the one on drugs bruh

  • i hate the fact that she makes a 3 minutes song last one hour

  • @ 6:20 I know she gave herself goosebumps with that note. It was sent straight into the stratosphere -smh-

  • lol her hairstyle is from the bodyguard Grammys

  • Just like Muhammad Ali said: If everybody loved each other the way they love me, the world would be a better place!! I love you Muhammad

  • Brought me tears INCREDIBLE

    Love u & will always

  • @ShaniceIndia: I agree. She was heavenly. Great to see Ali before his failing health.

  • I Love you From The Bottom of My Heart, Always and Forever CRT Forever

  • My lord all I have to say is WOW...God bless you baby

  • Go Rachel! xd

  • one thing for sure, she never lip sync. love u, Whitney.

  • Muhammad Ali looks very young for the 50 years old man.

  • Ugo girl! Thats The Voice!

  • The greatest voice EVER!

  • Ciao Alì, stammi bene!

    Grazie

  • I love the ending note here. So gospel-like. Kinda something my mom would sing, so that's probably why. lol

  • This is what you call a superb performance!

  • She was in a league all her own, all by herself. Period. And in my opinion she still is. It wasn't the drugs that damaged her voice, drugs can't really do that. She overworked her instrument and at some point lost touch with what it needed to be preserved. She could get a lot of it back now if she worked on it correctly and did not have whoever putting her on a touring schedule like this last one.

  • @Lindow Thank you for saying this. I've been saying the exact same for the longest time.

  • @Lindow Drugs can't damage the voice? Of course they do. They irritate, dry out, inflame and burn the vocal cords, as well as constrict the blood vessels, which are needed for flow in the cords to give the voice more freedom. Plus, drugs damage the throat muscles that, which are the most important muscles in singing.

  • @Chimier Thank You. Overuse and missue would just make her lose things such as range and clarity yes it also can damage the vocal chords, but drugs and cigarette smoking can do irrepatable damage. The way she sings and as demanding as her songs are drugs did alot of damage alot more than majoring touring and missue that is the reality. I love her to death and hope she can get some of back.

  • @Lindow lol you...

  • @Lindow Haha! Finally someone who actually understands the situation, if only more people understood that if you overuse your voice and don't work on preserving it, you will develop nodules and it'll cause a decline in your voice.

  • @MBossMan2008 I agree; however, we don't know how much is the drugs and how much is the over using of her vocal chords.

  • @1333fuller True. The drugs kill your breathing first, so that is mostly why she doesn't hold/sustain belts or most notes. But it also will make it harder for you to reach the higher notes (ex. Dionne Warwick/Aretha Franklin smoked for years and you can really tell from the late 1980's on) The nodules were the main reason for the rapid change. Ex. After the bodyguard each of her cd's had a seemingly different "voice". The tone was deeper, and the range was different. Drug cant do that so fast.

  • @MBossMan2008 everyone, lets not forget the clothes hanger incident that happened to her in her childhood! For those who dnt know the story, she was running around the house with a clothes hanger in her mouth, she fell, and the hook of the hanger went down her throat, and they thought she would not be able to talk again, so i'm sure there's some scarring from that as well.

  • @Lindow The woman had 2 miscarriages, smoked since she was 16, did drugs, and did a two year tour for the bodyguard. All these sings adding up contributed to her obvious vocal decline.

  • @musicisunityandlove Amen overuse of vocals chords(heavy touring during her peak) and smoking and drugs have made THE VOICE decline she still is the one of The Greatest.

  • @lsaturn01 Oh my GOD!!!! Seriously? Just enjoy the music. Every since American Idol everyone has become a "Professional Judge." This is before the drugs by the way, she was pregnant during this performance.

  • @1333fuller Hold on I didn't say she was doing drugs here she admitted the drugs started lightly after The Bodyguard this was before. I love Whitney Houston sorry if the comments seemed negative this was a good performance.

  • @lsaturn01 im a huge fan. im not saying that this was a bad performance but actually the drugs started before the bodyguard and got heavy after the bodyguard. that's what she said on oprah

  • @Lindow I'll have to disagree. All the heavy narcotics she did severely damage the vocal chords, lungs by destroying hundreds of thousands of cells permanently..Combined with that & her super singing in the mid '90s she lost her magic touch by 1997.I agree with you though. If she started now she can get back the voice she had in My Love Is Your Love.Brilliant but subtle song :)

  • Seriously? U REALLY don't believe drugs can do damage to the voice? U need to research that. Having a medical background, I can ASSURE you, that they DO in fact damage the cords. Especially Cocaine...it burns them. And unfortunbately, that was Whitney's drug of choice. :(

  • @Lindow amen Lindow, cause whitneys voice did improve she sung i look to you more stronger then the album version she didnt need to rush on tour right now would have been better for her to build up her vocal cords.

  • @Lindow I agree with you. I pray she puts in the time to do so, cos you can hear glimmers of that tone - and it gives one hope.

  • @Lindow I have to say that I cannot agree fully. I study with a world renowned operatic baritone named Brian Schexnayder who studied with the brilliant Dr. William Riley alongside Whitney Houston and Celine Dion...Drugs of all kind can destroy your entire body including your voice, not to mention the long term damage done to vocal folds by alcohol abuse...that being said, there definitely are probably multiple contributing factors but I don't believe her instruction was one of them.

  • This is such a Great Peformance I love you Always and Forever CRT, ur my 2nd Favorite singer and Also My hero.

  • I love you From The bottom of my heart, always and Forever CRT

  • 3:50 goose bumps :D holy cow she was good. stupid drugs...

  • Poise, grace, perfection. She truly knows how to interpret. And what humility to truly hit this song out of the park for the man it was written for. This is why I will always love this woman...no matter what.
