We still have kinder eggs here in the netherlands. But we have this thing that the chocolate can't be called chocolate for some reason it has to be called cacaofantasie. I think it's because there isn't enough cacao in it.

Might it have been worth mentioning how little kids might see that toy, that's colour is remarkably close to the chocolate it was housed in, and start chewing on it? Even the other toys are brown and white chocolate coloured!

I guess lil' kids find colours that are bright or resemble sweets and chocolate fascinating. Maybe Kinder should put little vegetable people in their eggs. Few kids these days would shove them down their throats!

Holy crap. I had to look up this law because it sounded so frivolous. Governments are weird. Wiki says "at least 7 children worldwide have died of choking after swallowing the toy inside" in the last 20 years. Call me cold, but that number seems acceptably low when you think that many times that number would have died choking on small crap anyway. Parents have control their kids' environment, especially those 3 years old and younger who are the focus of this. Stupid law-makers.
