  • CREMA! :D

  • Can you imagine? .... these two guys recording this in the studio... or playing it somewhere live? That's a nice thought

  • joy sadness just such a pleasure to relate my nigga blow your horn

  • this song, me my dog, a walk in the night, a joint.. suparelax, almost heaven. a kind of flawlessness.

  • Maceo Parker and James Brown had some of the best musical chemistry of all time

  • watch?v=vLA7ktt48K4 I like this song also!

Please listen hope you like it!

By the way a lovey song

  • I love this so much!!! the man play's the stars fron heaven woooow!!!!

  • How cool can two black men be???? All the instrumentation, was TIGHT!!!! This was something that James Brown demanded, from all his musicians!! This is just a sample of how great this man was!! Rest on,"GODFATHER OF SOUL"!!!

  • Very saxual.

  • GOOD GOD, IT RESONATES IN MY BONES. I CAN HEAR IT CALLING MY SOUL....... SOUL MUSIC

  • This is the world of a man with a horn.

  • Slow, deep, nasty and transmographicational, in a Godfather-Maceo= funky kinda way.

  • te tro fort maceo mercie

  • ONE LOVE

  • this song right here is the shit point blank period , james brown and maceo parker ripped this classic forever and ever and ever

  • This song gives me that rare feeling like you have goosebumps in your brain.

  • The living soul of ....JB will be around us for a long... long.... time,,,,Excellent Maceo Parker.....,unique brass...!!!!

  • When you'll cry after hearing this song...then you can say you have a soul...deep inside!

  • @MrDechoes for real! This is how the REAL music speaks!!!

  • I know it's sacrilege, but I was never that much of a James Brown fan. He often sounded to me like directionless braggadocio, just sort of sloppy and loud. But this....this reminds me what he could do This reminds me of why he was the Great James Brown. Maceo Parker is amazing and I agree about the steady rhythm of the guitar . Very, very nice. Thanks for the upload. "Three meals a day; oatmeal, no meal and missed meal."

Yep....I can feel this all the way back to my kool-aid days.

  • @JRM733 just curious what's your age? because it is almost blasmesphous to hear someone speak of the talented funky brother Brown who gave so much to my generation, and the countless musicians who came under his guidance and teachings.in this manner.

  • @ladymakini LOL...I'm closer to 50 than I wish I were, but if blasphemy has been committed, I can only ask for forgiveness. I agree with the post that says "by the time this song ends I'm ready to hear it again". It's just way too smooth. Don't get me wrong, no one can take the man's career credits away from him. This is just more my taste than a lot of his more "popular" music.

  • 5 people don't have the soul of a black man...

  • @pebblefrog196 believe me it's ain't that easy to have a soul of a black man

  • 5 dumbass like lady GAGA

  • This is real music. James Brown helped invent the foundations of a bunch of different musical genres, but he is often tossed aside as a overachiever. I mean really. Not to mention the dude could put on a show, a live show; something nobody can seem to do anymore. He didn't play all the instruments, but he could really bring out the best out of who he worked with, all to a wonderful musical peak. What a genius! Well I must also point out Maceo's amazing talent.

    RIP James.

  • I love the way Mr. Jimmy Nolan sets the rythum off with his guitar strut. Maceo was and still remains "The Sax Machine."

  • Tu es un maître Maceo...T'as le blues dans la peau ...Merci quelle classe !

  • This is one of my all-time-favorites in the whole wide world! This one is deep!

  • love Mr Brown's rap how he expresses things puts a smile on my face apart from the soulful music

  • soul is so important because a man is born with nothing and he leaves with nothing but his soul. so when you sell it what have you.sometimes during hard times i have to go deep down in my soul to make it through.

  • essence of coooool

  • ooh man, very nice!!!!!

  • Mis reverencias a este hombre. A james Brown. Maceo", me destrozan y me rearman.

    Genios, Gracias.

  • Nice reworking of the music from 'It's a Man's World'.

  • @ALfaDuB101 Who are you referring to?

  • I saw Maceo last weekend on open air concert in Slovakia. He was absolutely amazing. I haven't known him before and now I don't regret I was there. I like him, his band and his music.

  • Maceo Parker - 24.05.2009, 7.45, The Belgrade Theatre, Coventry, UK.Tickets £16 (£14).

  • Beautiful soul from a true master. I can't imagine a world without Maceos music. Can't wait to see him next month!

  • Talking about, the funk setting one free, this is it. this groove takes me way up there, like when I listen to a Miles Davis tune, it just takes you away, it's bad when you return to a world that retards our ears with radio, that don't have a fucking clue to what soul music really is, it's pure and from the soul, baby!

  • Lead guitar by Jimmy Nolan, from the 1974 "Us" LP that included Soul Power 74 and Parrty.

  • I LOVE this sooo much. Performed from the heart.

  • Tight. This is the musical medicinal ear tonic that that one listens too in the dark hours of life. Suddenly the light seems to go on. You find yourself with multiple job offers, you feel re-invigorated, you feel self-impressed, where you were once depressed. I saw James Brown, in Oakland, CA, about a year before he passed. I told the a lady next to me that it was like a revival-just nobody getting saved. Chistmas is agod day to remember Mr. Brown by listening to his music.
