This just makes me smile. When 'Come Follow the Band' kicks in towards the end of the programme it just hits sheer perfection. I love that you can see the blonde lady judge smiling ass he watches them. Just brilliant.
The best? Need we really have this discussion! Unbeaten at World and European level from 1981-4, which pairing has even got close to such a record? And as for the small matter of a little free dance in Sarajevo called...no it's left my head now! Legends, simple as, and were it not for outright corruption in Lillehammer a richly-deserved 2nd Olympic Gold would surely have followed.

This program is so lighthearted and cheerful, and I just love it. Absolutely the best!
I sorta miss the old scoring system. The drama of waiting for the row of 5.0s to pop up on the scoreboard (along with the ordinals) and you hear either cheering or booing from the audience. No drama with the new scoring system.
@szqsk8 I totally agree, humour, skill, technical and artistic originality and perfection. I understand the new scoring system is meantot be fairer but yes, really miss the 6.0 scoring system too even with its controversy.

1983 seems so long ago but watching this us as exciting now as it was then. Bolero still gives me goosebumps to watch it. Nobody better than T&D.

Have not seen these performances in a while. Watched from their 1979 Worlds thru 1983. Superlatives fail me...or have they all been used?
Perhaps what is most incredible is that they NEVER MISS A BEAT to the music. And this performance exemplifies this PERFECTLY!

You are so welcome. Michael Crawford helped them choreograph the routine. I saw Barnum with him in it when I was 12. He was great!.
