the question is, were Yves & Pierre aware that the two decapitated animal heads were stolen when they bought them ? . . Who were the unscrupulous sellers / dealers to start with ?
The nationalist Chinese forget France was the first Western country to reach out a hand to China in 1964. Such a gratitude. Francophobia is not a fair feeling any longer. It becomes a disease.
Shame on France!! Shame on France!! However, one thing makes me happy is that , now, France is just a weak/ third-class country, can't even compete with China in every fields. Poor France. by the way, Pierre Perge looks like a greety fat pig!
Pierre Berge is nothing but a thief, u want china to give up tibet lol in your wildest dreams u pirate, well since he's such a humanist, why doesn't he ask the French Government to give up all of her oversea colonies, the French owns two islands off the coast of Prince Edward Island in Canada, and let French Guyana have their freedom too, what a hypocrite and a French Imperialist shame on the French government ruling for the sale and YSL what a garbage brand anyways.
In my judgement Berger has got no right to sell any item of this unique collection ! Half a year after death of his "partner". Berger´s attitude is ridiculous ! He pays no honour to Yves at all. French government should invest funds and found new museum of YSL. I don´t agree with this business approach towards Saint Laurent´s heritage !
The only right thing to do is to have the sculptures returned to China, as anything else is unjust. We should put ourselves in their shoes; what if it is our national treasures/ relics which were robbed by an invading country, and are up for auction in a foreign place? We need justice!
It is a shame for the French (along with the British) to have looted the national treasures of China back in the Opium War. It was a robbery; a savage, inappropriate act. The stolen art pieces are part of the Chinese culture, and they serve as mementos of a rather shady modern history of China.
A simple fact exposed to the whole world, at least Chinese community, YSL and P. Berge are nothing more than burglars with Christies who bought or sold looted artifacts missed by billions' Chinese since reading domestc history at childhood. It's a collective wound to China/Chinese for long.
As a French, this is a permanent branding of thief on your forehead. There is a common understanding on how to handle stolen goods. France, thanks for showing the whole world what French really is. Remember how Brits called/shown you when they win the war? Haha, way to go, French.
Dumbass. I'm part of the French nation and i have NOTHING to do with any of that. You're so clueless. Despite that i won't blame your whole nation for your stupidity...
You're hopeless. China has a history of 4000 years and you're complaining about just two statues ?! (which will be sent to China soon) But I'm sure you're one of the Chinese "no-life" who enjoyed the 09/11 attacks in New-York. Long Live France and Shame on you ! My country has a lot of problems (of course) and you're too pathetic to note them (and your country's own problems).
Your country is hopless really, but China is a superpower in the making, Shanghai, Beijng, ShenZhen, HongKong etc just super amazing, makes Paris like passe village. Do not be shame on me, Shame on yourself, your backwards nation! Shame on your blingbling Nicolas Sarkozy and his popstar wife, well represents your country and taste.
I would be only shamed that somany Chinese tourists pouring money for French luxurious goods, just not worth it.
Can we all just get a long! It's the twentieth century people, grow up!

As a Chinese, I don't care who owns these relics.
