This is a wonderful gift on Easter week-end, 2011; hearing the voice of my late mentor, Nathan Milstein, who used to tell me at private lessons in London how much he loved Mr. Kreisler as a marvellous person, and for whom Mr. Milstein had limitless admiration, in his own voice so many years ago! Fantastic presentation! I have never seen these photos before and the interview is also really fascinating, and to hear the voices of his famous colleagues.. Thanks a lot !!
Thank you so much for this birthday trribute/interview. It is strange .... I have adored Kreisler all my life and, thanks to you, for the first time I have heard his voice! Thanks again!
Great to hear my favorite violinist speak. It is no shock that the violinists who pay tribute speak of his character and warmth, elements so obvious in his playing.
All the musicians who spoke in this video were people with culture and decency. That's why they were great musicians.

@wingklow or they were just great musicians who happened to be cultured and decent.

Kreisler - the best. Thank you. Too bad his legend and style is lost on contemporary violinists.
