  • In his defense, push ups from a side view will always give the impression that one is not going up high enough. Just try it yourselves and you'll see what I mean. It'd be better viewed from the front or above.

  • @mykhalable it is true, I should have went up all the way, woulda been a more thourough push up. The towel I was using I had my hands far too close... limited my range of motion a little bit.

  • For a pushup to be low enough, you have to go just SLIGHTLY past the point where your upper arm is parallel to the ground. You have to go all the way up to starting position on each rep. The second part is where you failed on the majority of the reps. Do real pushups, and you won't be doing 60 in under a minute for a while.

  • @TheRareSpecimen if u dont lockout then the range of motion is shorter, i go all the way to floor and all the way up as fast as possible for as many reps as possible. that works best for me.
