  • tempus fugit has a better bass part and thats not even a solo

  • please can you tell me what YES song is masterfully executed by the Master bass guitar Chris Squire

  • please can you tell me what YES song is masterfully executed by the Master bass guitar Chris Squire

  • @arpape2000 If you mean to ask which song Yes song this video is, it is Heart of the Sunrise

  • Les Claypool loves his 4001 Ric

  • Thank God there is awesome bass that isn't slap funk.

  • @lakemichigan100 DUDE! you could not have said it better...

  • fuck yeah! as a bass guitarist (yes, not bass, bass GUITAR), i listen 2 Yes all the fuckin' time. not only do i like his CHOPS(!!!), but i really dig Heart of the Sunrise for that melody, it's 1 of the prettiest i've ever heard (Claude Debussy meets Robert Johnson).

  • It just occered to me that Squire is a big guy. He dwarfs that Ric, it looks like a guitar on him. When Geddy wears a Ric it's bigger than he his.

  • man his style is so similar to geddy lee's. i bet chris squire was his hero

  • @vyse75 you notice (besides his Fender Jazz) that Geddy Lee mainly plays a Rickenbacker? That speaks volumes about your hunch.

  • @CE750 Geddy Lee is on record about consciously moving toward a Squire sound so buying a Rick. That said, he's not really played one regularly since the late '80s have gone through an awful Steinberger & Wal phase before sounding great again on his signature Jazz.

  • Sexiest bass solo I've ever heard. All hail to Chris - my hero.

  • Squire is a monster.

  • Chris Squire is GOD of me.

  • I hear he uses a quarter as a pick

  • Along with Jaco and Stanley he made bass soooooo exciting. All hail CS

  • @visog how can you not mention John Entwistle Jack Bruce xD??

  • @hungryhippos41 *John Entwistle and Jack Bruce

  • @hungryhippos41 They are great players fore sure and JE influenced CS a lot but I just get some physiological reaction to Squire - just hearing a note from him makes the hairs on my arms stand-up.

  • @visog Fair enough :P. I think I had just finished a documentary on Entwistle and a documentary on Cream when I posted that xD.

  • These guys loved TREBLE

  • He still rocks

  • he's quite old. it's not easy to stay young when you're 62. but it's great that he's still young in his heart. great man.
