Thinks I like about the new version of this battle:

1.) Same epic music, just a little remix.

2.) Same setting (ARK), just a different trail.

3.) It's fast!

4.) The intro gives you Nostalgia.

Things that I'm disappointed about.

1.) You fight differently. (You chase a weird purple circle, I guess it's the chaos or something.)

2.) The path doesn't fall apart behind you.

This is a legendary battle in this game and the series and they did an awesome job remaking it in Generations :D but this fight is more better because orginal stuff are always better.

It was crushing that this fight was so incredibly easy after that mind-blowingly epic buildup. It's virtually impossible to lose this fight, and there's nothing complicated about damaging him. I mean, couldn't there have been a few extra attacks to worry about instead of Shadow/Sonic dashing straight ahead almost the whole time?

this is probably my favorite boss fight in a sonic game. the fact that you have to constantly move forward due to the platforms behind you falling gave the battle a sense of panic. then there is the boss itself. i prefer beating the shit out of sonic because its rare that sonic is the enemy. its great that they both have the same moveset (besides the chaos control and their special attacks when your against the other) which makes it a even fight (sort of)

Fun Fact: If you keep running on this battle for more than 10 mins, the platforms in front of you will start to crumble causing Sonic and Shadow to fall off! Only Sonic falls to his death while Shadow keeps using Chaos Control over and over! XD

@Kimiomega Yeah! When the platforms fell, I quickly used the light speed dash on a trail of rings in the air! I kept on dashing along the rings until I couldn't anymore! And while I was doing that I see Shadow teleporting over and over trying not fall! XD The samething I think happens when you fight Sonic for over 10mins as Shadow!

somethings must be wrong with your game or something because i played it on the dreamcast and you can never home jump him and he never slows down you just dodge his attacks until he walks into a line of rings then special move jumps through rings super fast hits him repeat he dies in like a minute

The way I always beat him was just constantly light speed dashing, and Shadow would eventually teleport in the middle of a row of rings. You also would rack up a lot of extra lives doing it.
