Loved this game ... I actually wrote several letters (yes on paper) to Sierra for tips and they replied back with help and tips to finish the game. Fantastic game ... sigh .. makes me smile just seeing and hearing. You can buy this on GOG

Dude, this is so hilarious! This was one of the first games my sister and I ever played when I was like 7. And the poisonous snake line was the one we always remembered too, along with "The cool pond water... quenches graham's thirst."

Great LP. I've already watched the whole thing, but I came back here to check something. I meant to mention that you seem to be missing a scene between Mordack stealing the castle and Graham arriving on the scene. It shows Graham walking alongside a river, picking flowers, and has the main credits. Not a big loss, but I wonder what happened to it, unless you cut it out for some reason and didn't apply the Skip-o-Matic. Anyway, look at another LP that includes the intro and you should see it.

Well, Graham's the king of Daventry, and Cedric's a citizen of Serenia, as far as I can tell, so technically Graham isn't his king. Yeah yeah, nitpicky I know. Great line though. :)

It's easy to be hard on the crappy voice acting in this game. But you have to remember, this game came out in 1990, and the talkie version in 1991. It was one of the first, if not the first talkie game ever released. The actors were basically developers or friends of developers who worked for Sierra.

Just found your video. This game is ancient, but I remember having it on a computer my parents bought when I was but a wee lad. I liked it more than the Space Quest IV that was packaged on it because it was more passive. XP If I ever play again, I'll likely be wrong thanks to an upgraded sense of humor.

I hated this game SO DAMN MUCH as a kid, mostly because I could never figure out what the hell I was supposed to do with certain items.

i tried to replay kq5 a few years ago. i couldn't find a copy that didn't include graham's faggoty voice actor so i gave up.

i could have just turned off the sound but that would be too boring :p

i seriously think a 5 year old with down syndrome could do a better job of graham's voice.

You don't remember why he steals/shrinks the castle? It was to blackmail Alexander into turning Manannan back into a person (turned into a cat by him in KQ 3). It was only by chance that Graham was taking a walk when the castle was taken.
