I love this game! I've never played the talkie version, though. I remember the original game came with a cassette that explained the background, which I'm pretty sure you can find on youtube.
Great video! Was wondering when someone was gonna add this to LP. This is the LucasArts bundle CD version right? I remember getting this on Soundblaster CD-ROM drive bundle when I upgraded my 486DX 66MHz. Great game, too bad tone-def kids can never finish this game. ^_^
@Ariamaki Yes, actually, I have. In fact I have a rather large collection of drop spindles. Distaffs hold fiber while spinning yarn on a drop spindle or a wheel. They have no function in weaving.

None of the terminology they use is correct. It is so very irritating. Distaffs have nothing to do with weaving, ffs!

@monkehm To be fair, you usually can't sing to distaffs to change reality, either.

@monkehm Then you have never spun thread directly on a drop spindle.

I remember playing this game on a 486, I also remember beating the game as soon as you get the distaff, by playing the opening draft on the loom.
They must've fixed it since the initial release almost 2 decades ago.
