  • When you acquired this locomotive, did the box it came in include a second (differently-sized) cab? I'm just curious.

  • Yes lok sound is clear

  • Lok Sound, my T1 has lok

  • This is Rivarossi Ho scale.Hard to find it

  • I see now....it's HO.

  • Pardon my ignorance, but is this Lionel guage?

  • To lennyos: The C&O Alleghenies all had 5 chime whistles. The reason some models have hooters, as you call them, is because the sound effects used were first designed for the N&W Y-6 models. Railsounds 4.0, which is used by 3rd Rail in their o scale Allegheny models, has the same hooter type whistle. Supposedly Lionel's Railsounds 5.0 has a more correct whistle.

  • actually they did have hooter whistles! click on the "Allegheny 2-6-6-6 video footage" in the related video section. The whistle will be the first thing you here!

I may be wrong but the whistle in that video sound's like hooter!

  • Is there somewhere on Youtube that I can go to find what a "hooter" whistle sounds like? I have an Allegheny too, with a Tsunami decoder.

  • Needs hooter and chuff should be deeper but I'm getting to the point I could live with it.

  • NICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
