can i clear something up about the term "allegedly?" It is a law term used to describe an action that someone has been convicted of. When someone says that another person allegedly committed a crime, he isn't saying they didn't commit the crime. He's saying that as of right now the man being accused has not been found guilty or not guilty by a jury of his peers of the crime the person being accused of is charged with. can i clear something up about the term "allegedly?" It is a law term used to describe an action that someone has been convicted of. When someone says that another person allegedly committed a crime, he isn't saying they didn't commit the crime. He's saying that as of right now the man being accused has not been found guilty or not guilty by a jury of his peers of the crime the person being accused of is charged with. Very convoluted, i know, but there seems to be some confusion.

Maybe you should actually learn the difference between a lecturer and a professor, Professor Pearl. As some who is in a university enviorment, daily, i can tell you that it is not the same thing. A Professor has worked for his title, a senior lecturer is the equivlant of a regualr teacher

Lecture is part of the discourse of many professors, but I sincerely doubt you would know anything about that. You don't know anything about the three courses he taught, or the materials he used as curriculum for his classes.
You talk as if people know nothing at all about the man, the Harvard & Columbia graduate, the Lawyer, the activist & social organizer, the legislator, the professor.

I like how she threw in the "some would say" halfway through her opinion as if she was crediting her opinion to somebody else. She tried to seem like a reporter, but it was obviously her opinion.

In case you haven't noticed, the world is watching. We either live up to our status as a nation of laws, or we descend into wanton hypocrisy as the last administration did.
The point isn't whether Obama does or doesn't think he's guilty; even if that's foregone, there's due process to observe. This is what makes us better than the Islamic extremists inflicting sharia law upon others.
