You can make green fire using either copper compounds or boron compounds with alcohol as the fuel so the color doesn't get muted by the flame of the fuel.

You can also apply a Bunsen burner to a copper calorimeter. I accidentally lit one on fire while trying to clean the soot off the bottom (by burning it off). It's also not that hard to reverse, just rub it with some aluminium foil. Don't do it much otherwise you will corrode away the bottom of your calorimeter.

I would suggest using copper chloride to see burning copper.
