A video showing Hellner pulling on Northug's pole in the 30K Pursuit is no where to be found today. It was at the 1:11:11 point in the race, before Northug's other pole malfunctioned and he fell back.

He didn't pull the pole. He pushed. Like people always do when they are behind with higher speed. Also that pole he pushed is not the same that broke later. It was the left one. He broke the right one.

Did you see the video? After Hellner held the pole for about 2 seconds Northug turns his shoulders to the left, that is, his left arm goes back, not forward, as you would expect if the pole was being pushed. Maybe he was making a gesture. Nevertheless, where is the video? Why was it pulled? My original question was, is it legal to grab a pole in that manner? "like people always do". I haven't seen dozens a races but I haven't seen that before. The pulled video showed it clearly.

Get some sense in you! He do not pull, but push the pole forward becouse Hellner comes with a higher speed and don't want to go over Northugs skies.
