I fox hunt with my riding coach we never kill ANY animals and treat ALL people we see well we STAY OFF land that we haven't asked and been alowed to ride on ....to bad some hunt groups give the rest of us a bad name . we only go out for a nice country ride ....but i guess Some people have to be cruel and abuse animals. I don`t really understand what people on either side are gaining from this video. it was proved by the burns report that hunting was a more humane method of fox control than shooting and it has also been proved that the ban is an unworkable law. I`m no animal lover, I feed the garden birds and I own no pets. But I think it`s a myth that fox hunting`s about preservation. It isn`t about population control either. I`m sorry to say it`s about fulfilling a bloodlust that most modern people find distasteful. Foxes need to be controlled humanely, not cruelly. I question the minds of the people who draw pleasure from this cruel past time. I prefer to be generous, so I assume they are somewhat less evolved than the average person in the UK.
What I see is an unbelievable waste of police and emergency services time, if sabs weren't so antagonising towards hunt staff who are obviously going to be upset and have strong feelings of anger towards people who are trying to take away an important part of their lives then this sort of incident wouldn't happen. If the 80% of british public are against hunting then I'm sure 99% will be against there taxes being spent on saving you from a fight you started.
A fox raided our smallholding last night it slaughtered six ducks and five chickens it did not take one, just killed them all and left them. After seeing the slaughtered birds please do not preach to me that fox hunting is cruel as there is nothing more cruel than a fox out on a hunting spree which kills more than is needed to fill its belly, it left one to suffer gasping for breath my husband had to put it out of its misery.

@mrfurrylover Don't talk so stupid! our birds were in so called fox proof housing we thought they were safe behind fox proof electric fencing/ netting plus a perimeter of stock fencing. It also raided the farm next door killed all the chickens and took none just left headless corpses all over the place. As for watching a video on fox hunting I don't have to I seen the real thing. Remember the fox that entered the house and mauled two babies is that natural behaviour.?!!

@dodgerwhisk I have lived in the countryside for many years & have kept birds. I never lost one due to my security against mr fox. I can sqeek them to shoot by my shooting only involves a camera. I respect your honesty. While I am not in agreement with any animal being killed for humans I am also realistic & know there can be problem foxes.if one had to be killed, shooting would be my preferred method if by a trained marksman one shot instant death. In reality I know this is not always the case

Secondly, it is everyones moral duty to prevent the suffering of any animal, human or not, and that duty gives us the right to do what it takes to stop the cause of suffering. So I think permission to go onto that land is irrelevant in this case. You say you love animals? You don't seem to bothered about upsetting the horses. If you walk into a battlefield, attempting to stop a kill, then you are in the way and injuries will happen. @MsFoxHunt ...firstly, I have never covered my face out sabbing, but those who do have a very good reason for doing so. The hunts and their hired thugs will stop at nothing to prevent anyone from disrupting their bloody 'sport' and if they can identify the saboteurs then those sabs run a very real risk of reprisal attacks and intimidation. I have known of arson attacks on sabs' houses and vehicle brake pipes being deliberately severed, both of which represent a serious threat to life.
It makes sense therefore to avoid identification by the hunt for as long as possible to ensure personal safety.
As for claims that sabs have injured horses or hounds, if you investigate further you will realise that such attacks are actually completely unfounded accusations fabricated by hunts in an attempt to discredit sabateurs. Have you ever questioned why anyone would choose to risk their personal safety once, twice or three times a week in order to try to prevent the death of a fox?
Not for jealousy, not because they have issues with 'class' and certainly not for fun, the reason we do what we do is because we CARE about animals and believe that chasing a terrified wild animal for miles across the countryside before ripping it to pieces with a pack of hounds is cruel, immoral and barbaric. This CARING extends to ALL animals, not just foxes, and to suggest that any sab would harm an animal is as ludicrous as the lies the hunts spread.
@mrfurrylover I am a hunt groom and care a great deal for the horses I work with and for the hounds. I fight to keep hunting so I don't see them killed. 350 hunts in this country. Where would those hounds go if hunting were totaly banned which I'm sure you wish to happen. And the horses. I'd have to assume you agree with live export when theres nowhere for the horses to go.
@MsFoxHunt If you work as a groom then you will know most of the horses involved in the hunt are owned privately & they use events like point to points to qualify their horses. May I ask what is wrong with drag hunting? May I also ask if you genuinely care so much for the hounds why would you part of their early demise? Most hounds are shot at around 6yrs old when they could easily live til 12. Or are you someone else who pretends they can't be rehomed? I have known several who were & are great
@mrfurrylover Yes alot of horses are owned privatly but many people only keep horses to hunt and would not own them otherwise. The hunts in my area only have one point to point a year and the hunt are there purely for parade purposes when it is their point to point meet. Qualify their horses for what exactly, it's only racehorse owners that I know of who p2p their horses and for younger jokeys to get a little experience without riding under rules.
@mrfurrylover Personaly I don't take my horse drag hunting. I find it too hard on her and shes not a good enough hunter for it. A hound isn't a pet it's a working animal and I'm sure some can be rehomed which wasn't the point i put foreward. I pointed out that if there was a total ban that many hounds could never be rehomed when there are already a huge amount of animals homeless. And if you think all the horses could be sold i go to your local sales and see the horses going to meat.

@mrfurrylover Of course they still breed hounds because they still hunt in one way or another. They are not bred for the sake of it. It's far from puppy farms isn't it. They are bred to hunt. Not bred just because they can and then to be left with unwanted puppies. Again for the 3rd time, I said what do you think would happen if there was a TOTAL ban. Remember we are still allowed to take out the hounds on exercise, take out two to flush if we wish to shoot or use a bird of prey.

@mrfurrylover i don't know the mans name like i said it was something my mother dealt with in court. the name of the crown court would tell people where my mom works. The name of the hunt would tell people where i work. this incident happened several years ago. the hunt no longer releases a meet list at the start of each season so we no longer have toruble from sabs. the size of our pack has not risen or fallen since it was created in the 1800's.

And like I said I don't even know the date and exact details. All I know is that it was several years ago and the only outcome was a fine for vets bills whether it was an accident or not. We knew it was an unworkable law. Isn't it something like only 9 prosecutions of hunts in the time it's been banned. You don't and would never give up your fight. I`m no animal lover, I feed the garden birds and I own no pets. But I think it`s a myth that fox hunting`s about preservation. It isn`t about population control either. I`m sorry to say it`s about fulfilling a bloodlust that most modern people find distasteful. Foxes need to be controlled humanely, not cruelly. I question the minds of the people who draw pleasure from this cruel past time. I prefer to be generous, so I assume they are somewhat less evolved than the average person in the UK.

What I see is an unbelievable waste of police and emergency services time, if sabs weren't so antagonising towards hunt staff who are obviously going to be upset and have strong feelings of anger towards people who are trying to take away an important part of their lives then this sort of incident wouldn't happen. A fox raided our smallholding last night it slaughtered six ducks and five chickens it did not take one, just killed them all and left them. After seeing the slaughtered birds please do not preach to me that fox hunting is cruel as there is nothing more cruel than a fox out on a hunting spree which kills more than is needed to fill its belly, it left one to suffer gasping for breath my husband had to put it out of its misery.
I was on the fence about fox hunting but I'm for it now!!

It also raided the farm next door killed all the chickens and took none just left headless corpses all over the place. As for watching a video on fox hunting I don't have to I seen the real thing. Remember the fox that entered the house and mauled two babies is that natural behaviour.?!!

I respect your honesty. While I am not in agreement with any animal being killed for humans I am also realistic & know there can be problem foxes.if one had to be killed, shooting would be my preferred method if by a trained marksman one shot instant death. In reality I know this is not always the case

Secondly, it is everyones moral duty to prevent the suffering of any animal, human or not, and that duty gives us the right to do what it takes to stop the cause of suffering. So I think permission to go onto that land is irrelevant in this case. The hunts and their hired thugs will stop at nothing to prevent anyone from disrupting their bloody 'sport' and if they can identify the saboteurs then those sabs run a very real risk of reprisal attacks and intimidation. I have known of arson attacks on sabs' houses and vehicle brake pipes being deliberately severed, both of which represent a serious threat to life.

As for claims that sabs have injured horses or hounds, if you investigate further you will realise that such attacks are actually completely unfounded accusations fabricated by hunts in an attempt to discredit sabateurs. Have you ever questioned why anyone would choose to risk their personal safety once, twice or three times a week in order to try to prevent the death of a fox?

May I ask what is wrong with drag hunting? May I also ask if you genuinely care so much for the hounds why would you part of their early demise? Most hounds are shot at around 6yrs old when they could easily live til 12. Or are you someone else who pretends they can't be rehomed? I have known several who were & are great

@mrfurrylover Yes alot of horses are owned privatly but many people only keep horses to hunt and would not own them otherwise. The hunts in my area only have one point to point a year and the hunt are there purely for parade purposes when it is their point to point meet. Qualify their horses for what exactly, it's only racehorse owners that I know of who p2p their horses and for younger jokeys to get a little experience without riding under rules.

A hound isn't a pet it's a working animal and I'm sure some can be rehomed which wasn't the point i put foreward. I pointed out that if there was a total ban that many hounds could never be rehomed when there are already a huge amount of animals homeless. And if you think all the horses could be sold i go to your local sales and see the horses going to meat.

@mrfurrylover Of course they still breed hounds because they still hunt in one way or another. They are not bred for the sake of it. It's far from puppy farms isn't it. They are bred to hunt. Not bred just because they can and then to be left with unwanted puppies. Again for the 3rd time, I said what do you think would happen if there was a TOTAL ban. Remember we are still allowed to take out the hounds on exercise, take out two to flush if we wish to shoot or use a bird of prey.

Maybe I need to remind you. Foxhunting has already been banned. Hunts like your own have chosen to continue in whatever capacity they can. As the Tories are now in power I just wonder how long before it's made legal again? @mrfurrylover And the views that you hold on fox hunting are not necessarily right either. Everyone is self righteous when it’s something they believe in strongly. I based my beliefs in what is right in what I have seen with hunts I have been with. I have never chased a fox to exhaustion. It’s either been killed or we’ve given up if it was fit and healthy. We don’t exhaust our horses and hounds on one fox.

@MsFoxHunt We all due respect without being at the front of the hunt you are unlikely to see most things that go on. The blocking of badger setts before a meet. The practice of trapping (bagging) a fox. Foxes being dug out & thrown to the hounds or shot. I fully understand why you would wish to ride & socialise with other people. I have no problem with that whatsoever. But chasing a defenceless fox to it's death. Sorry I will NEVER agree with that.

@MsFoxHunt Just re read my comment. I meant to say go to hunts to qualify for point to points etc. There is no reason whatsoever why the horses or hounds would need to be put to sleep. Bow long ago was hunting banned? If they have survived up til now I see no reason why they shouldn't in the future. It's just more propoganda on the hunts behalf. Do you really believe fox hunting is about pest control?

@mrfurrylover i don't know the mans name like i said it was something my mother dealt with in court. the name of the crown court would tell people where my mom works. The name of the hunt would tell people where i work. this incident happened several years ago. the hunt no longer releases a meet list at the start of each season so we no longer have toruble from sabs. the size of our pack has not risen or fallen since it was created in the 1800's.

And like I said I don't even know the date and exact details. All I know is that it was several years ago and the only outcome was a fine for vets bills whether it was an accident or not. I'm sorry that I don't remember every bit on infomation or event that has happened over the last however many years.

We knew it was an unworkable law. Isn't it something like only 9 prosecutions of hunts in the time it's been banned. You don't and would never give up your fight. Do you expect hunts to give up and fade away?

The whole point of making fox hunting illegal was for to be enforceable nationwide.
I think the anti-fox hunters are extremely brave and courageous and why anybody would defend a barbaric, disgusting sport in which people get pleasure out of the murder of innocent animals is beyond me. I live in a countryside town that has a famous Boxing Day Hunt, but I have NO desire whatsoever to see it return. Owning private land does not give them the right to punch women and brake shoulders!
