  • I don't do any drugs... just drink once in a while. But one time I had a really bad cough, so bad that I went to the hospital for it. They gave me a prescription cough medicine that had an opiate in it.

My cough went away in a couple of days but I had about half the medicine bottle left, so on weekends I would take a small sip and space the fuck out. It was glorious. I didn't go on any trips or anything, just stared at the sky.

So that's my one drug story and why I think drugs should be legal.

  • @pratikh I'm sorry but that is a dumb story about why drugs should be legal.

  • 41 people have never done drugs or really sucked at doing drugs

  • "It boils down to old fucks vote" ... That's what it boils down to..

  • I can put on a Bob Marley shirt, go to bar and in 5 minutes have someone offer to sell to me.

But I am a medical professional. So I choose not to dull my memory. So I choose voluntarily to not get high, even though I love weed.

That's how adults do things. Not because laws tell them what's right or wrong, but because they want to do the right thing instinctively.

Our government is failing to make weed unavailable, and it's failing to trust responsible adults to make good decisions.

  • I smoke weed and do drugs

  • All drugs should be legal, when a drug is made illegal the government forfeits all control over the substance to criminal producers. There will always be people who try hard drugs, and better that they're regulated than left to criminals.

  • Haha!

    Epic wisodm:

'Boredom is a disease worse than cancer - and drugs cure it...'

  • Hey, Carlin was an Old Fuck. Being an Old Fuck is okay, it's the Old Farts that are the problem.

  • Old people don't vote. They die.

  • All drugs should be decriminalized. Take it out of the hands of all criminals.

  • @AngryHateMusic Decriminalizing doesn't remove it from the hands of criminals.

  • @Gongomm It does from the criminals that call themselves government.

  • I have to admit, if all drugs were made legal I'd be smoking weed every night and tripping almost every weekend

  • I'm not reading because I was trained not to type after absorbing light sources that are incapable of being interacted with.

Maybe its right, Maybe its dumb. Like when they come out with the Ginsu Knives that we were told for 4000 YEARS we were never allowed to have.

Put me in an uncontrollable situationan and I will proceed to just defeat whatever the hell it is you were "saying" and eventually come up with better words to describe the situation.

  • And your not funny at all

  • AFTER MR. HICKS PASSED AWAY WE NEEDED SOMEONE TO STEP INTO THAT GENRE. THANKS MR. STANHOPE! "STRAP A BOMB TO MY MOM"

  • @WasabeWan

As Stanhope points out, his style is pretty different from hicks. You get a thumbs down for being a name-dropping cocksucker AND wrong.

  • @PixelPariah What did you do? Go look up what he said bout Hicks and not make up your own mind. I give a fuck what he said "HE" thinks hes like! "Genre" and "SHOES" are different words... Before I made my comment I thought about what I was going to say. Both of them are THE FUCKIN SHIT!!!!! You seem like a Dictator! Hows my DickTate??? You get a thumbs down for taking a comment waaay too personal. If your a fan, fine. Then write a comment about that. I did. "STRAP A BOMB TO MY MOM"

  • @WasabeWan I"ve watched a shitton of Hicks AND a shitton of Stanhope. Their "standup" is completely different... Neither of them talk about smoking and how they give a damn if you like it or not... Stan loves to do be drunk and Bill could give two shits less,as long as he's got his cigarettes... They don't aggree that the government is taking away rights, slowly but surely. NEITHER ONE OF THEM GOES ON A RANT AT THE END OF THEIR RESPECTIVE SHOW ABOUT THE G'VMNT's BULLSHIT... ME= "A FAN OF COMEDY"

  • @WasabeWan

Hicks struggled with alcoholism all his life. Trust me, he gave more than "two shits".

  • @mellowmark1 No, this is true... He did give more than two shits. In his stand-up he'd state how people can do "whatever the fuck they want! I just want to smoke my fuckin cigarettes!......." I was using "two shits less' loosely. But your right, he struggled his whole life... Not gonna downplay that! Just making a point to someone else. Thanks Mellomark.

  • Drugs are illegal so the government and rich people can control it, A CIA plane crashed and revealed 4 TONS OF COCAINE..look it up. They win in both ways. Now they have the balls to go invade iraq, pakistan, afghanistan..etc. Were taking over all the DRUGS AND OIL THE ELITE ARE SELFISH FUCKS!!!!!!!!

  • I'm a pot smoker. Not so much as i used to be when i was younger but i love Doug. I agree with 99% of what he says. I also agree with what he said in this clip. That doesn't mean i'm going to quit smoking but i get exactly his point. I don't know why he's not the most popular comedian of this age. O yeah, maybe i do. Meteor.

  • He doesnt smoke pot but he enjoys a good trip on shrooms, LSD, or DMT? thats odd.

i also know a dude thats the same way...doesnt smoke cannabis and barely even knows how to smoke properly...he doesnt care for a couple of hours of being high on MJ, but he will freely munch on psilocybin, swallow pills, and throw blotters on his tongue and trip balls for up to 15 hours. wats up with pple like that?

  • @CORNP00 Personal Preference? I like to trip balls and smoke pot. Different effects.

  • @CORNP00 Nothing's wrong with them, they just don't like pot...is it really that hard to believe? :/

  • @CORNP00 It just doesnt feel as good for some people, its just their brain chemistry.

  • I hate old FUCKS. I can't wait til all the old FUCKS die. See ya gram and gramps, you're done forcing America to live in a fucking cave.

  • Okay first off. When marijuana becomes legalized or if any drug for that fact the average person is not going to try it. The human gets a thrill out of trying drugs because their breaking the law. Don't tell me I'm wrong because I know I'm not. As for your friends who died from meth that's your fault for not helping them

  • @spoofyman

Yeah people only smoke grass for the thrill of it being illegal, which is exactly why no one ever goes to Amsterdam to get high.

I mean, I always thought people DID do that, but clearly I was wrong, cause you KNOW you're right.

What a big fool I feel like now after holding the assumption that people took drugs for anything other than being criminals. I'll never state my opinion and assume it's fact again. cause only idiots would do something like that, don't you agree?

  • @Soundfrequency im saying it in a sense that not everyone is gonna light up a blunt if weed was legal. so go be an arrogant piece of shit somewhere else

  • @spoofyman

I'm definitely the one who was being arrogant.....yes....

  • @spoofyman You completely misunderstood the point, then made your own illogical counter point, then backed up your illogical point with the reasoning that In your opinion, You must be right, because you "Know" your right.

Then blame someone for the actions of others telling them its their responsibility to intervene.... Which if you applied to society would mean a nation where it be illegal to do drugs.

People do drugs because they have an effect on the body.

  • @Soundfrequency i went to amsterdam to get high, and while i was there, i felt what its like to truely be free.

after returning to shitty ass america (land of the unfree, home of the big mac), ive felt like ive been stuck in prison. and im surrounded by brainwashed idiots that dont have a clue of what true freedom is. americans lack freedom for one reason only, MONEY!!! the government/NWO/elite makes a fortune of us law breakers. ITS ALL BULLSHIT! fuck you and the system. your all going down

  • @adrewk Come on up to Canada, pull up a chair, drink some beer, spark a joint, watch some hockey and that freak show going on at our neighbours

  • @adrewk I feel the same way when I return to the UK after a trip to Holland. The dutch are the nicest and most civilised people ive ever met, what a lovely country:)

  • @Soundfrequency whoops, i just realized your being sarcastic, my "fuck you" should have been directed at spoofyman

    my bad

  • @adrewk

    Don't worry about it.

And if marijuana is banned then the world is safe for another day! *Salutes*

  • @spoofyman fuck you! you dont know shit.

  • I AM THE UTLIMATE STANHOPE FAN!!!!

  • I AM THE UTLIMATE STANHOPE FAN!!!!

  • Legalization of heroin would destroy the black market, reduce the price, create a legitimate outlet for distribution, could drastically reduce crime associated with paying for heroin while also creating an opportunity to establish effective avenues of dealing with the consequences of addiction in a mature and rational way. All of which is why it will never happen.

  • "Boredom is a disease worse than cancer."

    Very true.

  • I don't see a problem with pot. Drunks run stop signs. Potheads wait for them to turn green.

  • Good point TalesFromTheKeyboard.

  • @TalesFromTheKeyboard

    That's great :D

  • I smoke weed but I don't do drugs.

  • @YourFavPissStain oh you speak in catchphrases! yayyyy no individuality it's cool!!!!

  • we need to take action as a people and vote on decimalizing marijuana use for every purpose out there

what ever happened to We the people

The Old Fuck heads in Dc shouldn't be making the decisions for us We NEED to have are voices Herd it time to start a Revolution...

  • Time 2 pressure CONGRESSIONAL CANDIDATES to PASS BILLS to DECRIMINALIZE MARIJUANA for Medicinal & Personal USE

    >Go 2 Twitter & type search hashtags #HR2943 or #HR2835 for LINKS to:

    * US Congress BILLS H.R. 2943 & H.R. 2835

    * TWEET or CONTACT YOUR Congressman & Congressional CANDIDATES

    * Register 2 VOTE

    * Gov't Study

    >Let's Force the Issue & get CANDIDATES to COMMIT to THESE BILLS

    >Tell them 2 SUPPORT & COSPONSOR H.R. 2943 & H.R. 2835

    >Let's Eliminate Drug Crime & Gang Funding. SPREAD THE WORD

  • @ZombieStomper777 eh, make them gov't run. Get rid of private prisons. Or let them run off of people that actually belong there. Like violent offenders, thiefs, etc.

  • i want to buy mushrooms at walmart tomorrow!

  • "Little to no bad side effects if used as directed" is the best line in the whole video. That's just the thing: You're allowed to DRINK and smoke cigarettes, which have plenty of side effects. But there are rules in their use: 21 years old, don't drive while under the influence, et cetera. Marijuana being the same way wouldn't cause any harm to society. There will be idiots who do pot and drive, but there will be idiots who drink and drive. The thing is, those would be the SAME IDIOTS...

  • @EilonWolfe if you are smoking weed every day and used to it then it is not very risky to "drive under the influence" because in contrast to alcohol consumption regular cannabis use doesn't impair your motor skills

  • Deaths from alcohol/tobacco: untold millions worldwide.

Deaths from marijauna, in the last two thousand and ten years : zero.

  • This guy is brilliant, smart and funny as hell. Making you think and laugh at the same fucking time.....

  • awesome!!! keep it up doug!

  • i see 26 thumbs down ... probably old people on medical marihuana :D

  • I actually strongly disagree with people who say "marijuana ought to be legal, but not 'harder drugs'". It all boils down to personal responsibility and privacy, not being mothered by the government.

  • stanhope's standup flows sweeter than poetry

  • "...if used as directed" lol

  • hahhaha. Love the last bit.

  • All of you idiots that go on about marijuana and drugs... but this isn't about marijuana and legalization of drugs at all. This monologue is about something different entirely, but you're just too stupid and ignorant to comprehend. So don't leave irrelevant and misinformed comments

  • wtf?

  • @SharinganKakashii whats it about then wise one?

  • This conversation about medical marijuana is prety pointless, since nearly every drug is used in one or the other form as medicine as well, and medicine in general is poison in a well thought through dose. There is a quotation: "Dosis facit venenum" or 'It is the dose that makes the poison'. (this guy named Paracelsus or something like that said this)

[This comment was supposed to be longer, but since youtube made this stupid 500-character rule...]

  • Guys, stop perpetuating stereotypes!

  • cannabis cures cancer

  • @slade420 Pretty bold dickhead

  • love this guy

  • All drugs should be legal. Take it out of the hands of the criminals.

  • @mattcribbin Commit murder should be legal. Take out moral crusaders like yourself, jokers, junkies, politicans, homing pigeons, ski instructors, skinheads etcetera

  • @Azoicum What? How is someone who believes in personal freedoms like drug use the same as a politician, or a skinhead. Junkies are only a problem because they're roaming the street looking for drugs and people to rob because, ta dah! They're illegal. You short-sighted, mis-informed tool. Get a fuckin' clue.

  • @mattcribbin Portray an under age, tattoo and expecting drop out drug rehabilitation? 2000 kids in the Netherlands every year in rehab.

  • @Azoicum cannabis use is lower in the netherlands than in many other European countries and a lot lower than in the United States; 6 percent of 15- to 64-year-olds in Holland had used marijuana in the past year, compared to 11 percent in the U.S.

  • ok take out shakespeare

    or george washington.

oh yeah, we should have taken out all our aincent ancestors.

  • @mattcribbin i'm sure someone else pointed this out but if all drugs were legal then the formerly illegal drug users wouldn't be criminals, eh?

  • @mattcribbin well pot maybe some just...no

  • @alicePlagueDoctor All of them, it's not a crime if it only affects you.

  • @mattcribbin well yeah of course. but the fact is id hate for any of my friends who smoke pot to move on to cocaine or Heroin because i wouldn't want to see them destroy themselves with it you know? i mean yeah sure if you're a coke fiend and not hurting anyone then thats fine but i'd still hate towake up one morning to the news my friends OD'd on this that or the other.

i do see your point. and i know alcohol can have more to the same amount of damage but its regulated

  • @alicePlagueDoctor Well if they did move onto harder drugs, it's not necessarily because they smoked pot, it could any number of things. Life is a gateway drug. And if they did do those drugs wouldn't you want them to get purer drugs in a legal manner and not some who-knows-what in a ghetto somewhere?

  • @mattcribbin just kinda rather they werent doing the drugs in the first place :/ theres only so much i can sit and watch happen. i dont care that theyre doing drugs. as you say they're their own person but if i felt it was getting out of hand then my opinion changes

  • Comment removed

  • @mattcribbin no no ofc not. but legalising everything isnt the answer

  • @mattcribbin you think meth and crack should be legal? your fucked.

  • @mafiaosobob Why not, if someone is going to get it, they're going to get it. Let's make sure it's clean and not covered in innocent blood.

  • @mattcribbin if you make it legal. meth legal the average person may try it. Its not about if someone is going to get they going to get it. Because if ur a meth head, ur right they will get it. But if mETH! was legal, more people might try it. and that is completely fucked. I don't know about you but i have lost some friends to meth it is a truely messed up drug. Invented for the pure purpose to get niggers high and make money. Weed is on a whole different level. Same as booze i would say.

  • @mafiaosobob The point is that we should rather promote individuals being educated enough to have a knife in their hand and not cutting themselves. Black markets will emerge in the case of drugs, where we really leave people out there alone in the streets handling their own problems because what they're doing is not legal so they can't turn anywhere. If meth was legal, some of your friends life wouldve been saved because government ran shops would have had databses where abusers could be tracked

  • @mattcribbin you mean take it out of the hands of criminals and put it into the hands of bigger criminals.

  • @hopaloop Whatever. I'd just rather not get arrested for doing something that affects no one but me and is really no ones buisness.

  • @mattcribbin fuckin pussy, enjoy gettin fucked in your arse forever fuck whet.

  • @mattcribbin i kinda agree, but cocaine IS hell of a drug

  • @mattcribbin stupid.

  • @mattcribbin I recall reading that government-associated organizations have played a key role in drug importation and creating the drug black market so I feel its less about getting it out of the hands of criminals and more about getting it out of the hands of the government...but that means that the roles of responsibility have to switch and we take responsibility for ourselves and our trails-o-waste and tell the government how its done... in our good moral conscience...if that even exists

  • @Aiml3ss I heard something about that. I'm pretty sure the CIA put crack in the ghettos in sort of an indirect way.

  • @mattcribbin Stan Smith "CIA agents are supposed to distribute crack to the inner city, not smoke it"

  • @mattcribbin I agree with that. But the medicinal part is actually a crime that that they make such a hassle out of it. It's cheaper, more effective and better for the patients than most other pharmaceutical drugs. I really don't get it.

  • @vaporizerblogger just an adherence to ancient propaganda.

  • @mattcribbin Totally agree to that.

  • @mattcribbin I absolutely agree to that.

  • @mattcribbin The whole time Stanhope is smoking the worst drug every created... the tobacco cigerette. And I have news for you, you might take drugs out of the hands of criminals if you make them legal, but drugs make criminals. Don't believe me?, over half of all class a felonys are created under the influence of alchol or narcotics. There is a reason the majority of countrys in the world ban most drugs (yes, even amsterdam), without regulation whats the point of any law?

  • @madtownband Amsterdam is the capital of the country Netherlands (or The Netherlands). Liberal drug use dates back to the opium act and before. Still, it's a very cheerfull and pleasant country, enjoying massive benefits from millions of drug tourists. And very strangely, it's not a anarchistic hell hole run by criminals despite the drugs.

  • @Tw1St3DSt33L I can vouch for that. I'm from the UK and I went with my brother to Amsterdam a few months back. Couldn't be nicer and almost all of them speak English. It was people were probably the nicest I've ever seen in any country. Felt very safe (Safer than London, Barcelona, Paris combined lol).

  • @madtownband I don't think criminals should blame drugs for crimes they commit. I don't kill people when I've had a few to drink or something to smoke. I think it's FAR more likely that people who are criminally inclined are more likely to do drugs, rather than drugs creating criminals. Plus the fact that drugs are illegal would put them into criminal hands, so who is more likely to be under the influence of a drug? Ofcourse the criminal, considering it's his business.

  • @madtownband If you legalize drugs, you regulate them, they become safer to use because there will be more education on dosing so less OD's, you put an age limit and put them behind a counter where children cannot directly buy them (like they can now). Plus do you think that more people will do drugs if it's legal? Since you like statistics 41% of Americans have admitted to using marijuana, as opposed to 19.5% of Dutch people in a place where it is essentially decriminalized and accepted.

  • @madtownband Drug prohibition creates criminals, not drugs. When was the last time you heard someone bootlegging ethanol? I'll tell you when: in the good ole days of alcohol prohibition.

  • Come see Doug Stanhope at Lakeshore Theater on 3/5 & 3/6 at 7:30 & 10:30. Call 773.472.3492 for Tickets, only $25!

  • "I'm Doug Stanhope thats why I drink" he's too funny talks alot of sense!!

  • @speedz05 ur exactly right, hes extremely funny, but infact quite factual

  • This guys thought shit out

  • He is the new Bill Hicks to me.

    Good work dude!

  • This is the best argument for medical marijuana I've ever heard. "Clack clack. Stop me"

  • Bill Hicks wannabe

  • Are you serious? Bill hicks doesnt touch this guy, you could fill all of bill hicks's material in to three hours. Dougs material lasts years.

  • @srspower I don't think this guy is a Bill Hicks wannabe at all, he's awesome but you probably need to listen to more Hicks if you think that way. BH had so many levels that the comical stuff was really just the icing on his repertoire that made his views on satire, philosophy, government, psychedelics, spiritual, etc etc more palatable. As much as I like this guy he nowhere near the insight Hicks had on similar topics, anyway who cares. There totally different comedians in many ways as well.

  • Doug Stanhope for President

  • Pot is illegal because the hemp plant is SOOOOOO useful in SOOOOOO many ways, not the least of which is MEDICINAL. THC is the most health-friendly substance on the planet. Google Rick Simpson. Maybe some day we'll wake up and take these Big Pharma assholes out of the contest.

  • maybe one day we'll wake up and kick all the religious assholes out of the contest.. just as unlikely.. but it would be a better world in both cases ;)

  • @Rumpl4skn also could you imagine how pissed off those 100's of thousands of prisoners will be when they're released. Americans fucked up the Canadian law, the drug czar poked his fat fucking head into our Country told Cretian (that decriminalized it) he better re-criminalize it.. I wish theyd stay the fuck out of Canada.

  • kudos to that! wise words

  • My aunt's signature is on Rick Simpson's Canadian Legion petition (Maccan Nova Scotia. Dorothy Dunlap)

  • Honest question, and I know I'll sound like an arrogant asshole saying it, but so be it. People used to refer to me as being supposedly hilarious. And whether or not this was a legitimate attribution, I could make people laugh hard. Then I got diagnosed with a depression and im an unfunny stupid mind-numbed Prozac robot. If I took pot, would it make me have at least a remote sense of humor, or just make everything seem funny.

  • It would just make everything seem funny, and only other stoned people would laugh at you. Plus as soon as you stopped taking it you would go back to being depressed, especially as weed inhibits prozac from working.

Which is shame as weed is awesome.

  • but would it at all suspend my psychological problems to a point where if i was high alone a creative side wouldshine through? im lookign for things that will revert me, or at least reintroduce me to an older perspective

  • No. It doesn't cure psychological problems or revert you back. It's not magic or a time machine. Weed does help creativity in my experience, though whether or not you do anything with it is a different matter.

Anyway those are all shitty reasons to do pot. You do it to get high. It kind of worries me when people think it's a means to an end for anything other than that.

  • you idiot theres more to it than just getting high, but youre too dumb and ignorant to comprehend that.

  • Oh yeah. It;s like totally fucking spiritual.

    Fucking dork.

  • no its medicinal. have ou ever heard of medical marijuana you fucking idiot?? it can be used to help people cope with about a hundred different illnesses.

  • it all boils down to people sayin drugs are bad. they are. alcohol is bad. but do u say 'some people cant handle this, everyone cant have it now'? no. we have alcoholics. alcoholics, like drug addicts, are not evil or bad, but people, and they need to be pitied and shown the support and love they obviously didnt recieve which led them to their situation. not imprisoned, yeh? if ur gonna make a law outlawing something because of wat some do with it, make knives, cars, spoons, saws illegal. no?

  • I've spoken my piece and I'm sounding repetitive now, so I'll move on to other videos. Thank you Plisken for the lively debate. I hope the War on Drugs continues for you as successfully as it has in the past. I just wish that it was funded entirely by people like you who support it and not forced out of my paycheck under threat of imprisonment in an ass-pounding federal hellhole that STILL can't stop drugs, even in the most maximum security places on earth.

    Peace.

  • just remember people can very well live without it and theres a whole slew of of dangers known and unkown if all drugs are legal. never mind that the war on drugs is not that succesful at least thers a bottle neck effect on it. some may get through at least people are still afraid to get caught.

  • You should check out the stoned ape theory if you think drugs don't do any good. You should also throw out all your good music albums and never watch a good movie ever again. The drugs that are illegal are just as dangerous as the legal ones if not less. alcohol, tobacco and caffeine are dangerous poisons to the system yet it is impossible to overdose on mushrooms or LSD and if you are so dumb as to take a fistful of mushrooms and jump into traffic then that's nature's way of thinning the heard.

  • You are an idiot.

  • That's a fantastic argument.

  • Plisken, my friend. I know you mean well. And I'm not trying to be confrontational so I hope you're not taking offense. I just want people to realize the absolute failure of the War on Drugs and the ethical issues that suffer at the heart of it. Do I wish people would not use meth and all that other crap? Of course. But I'm not willing to make that choice for them because I don't want them (or anyone else) making choices for me as long as I hurt nobody. Regardless of the issue.

  • laws are not made for the benefit of just one individual but for the overall. if u wont use it fine but we have to consider the rest and if u arent interested in it anyway why are u fighting for it?

  • "if u arent interested in it anyway why are u fighting for it?"

That's a great question. For me, the fight is not about the substance. It is about unnecessary legislation. Legislation that I believe does more harm than good, that sets a precedent for further erosions of liberty, that criminalize non-violent actions, and violate the very concept of self-sovereignty. It's about ethics and philosophy and right and wrong at a fundamental level. I don't care about drugs. I care about liberty.

  • "Bring out milky-eyed Jim!!"

    haha. I love that line!

  • Doug does complain, but he is also making some very true and good points in his sarcastic humor. This guy is as far as I can tell original. Unlike the punks like Leary who stole Hicks materials. This fella is a complainer, but funny too.

  • o D.S novo.

  • Now that Carlin's gone.....I'm gonna give Doug a watch.

  • @SgtBastard101 true... but this guy its more about complaining then making jokes

  • Yeah,he's no Carlin.

  • I have his NEW ALBUM CLICK MY CHANNEL

ITS CALLED "FROM ACROSS THE STREET"

  • but dont associate weed w/ coke or meth etc.

  • Plisken12 wrote: "don't associate weed w/ coke or meth"

You are correct by asserting that some drugs are more dangerous than others (I'll add heroin to your list). However, his point transcends that distinction on purpose. If some moron wanted to do Drano shots, Doug would still support him based on the "root of the argument" ie: 2:38 - 2:48 . Freedom should be absolute, as long as you don't harm others. Anything short of that is not really freedom. It's not about drugs, its about liberty.

  • i disagree, freedom is good but is not to be abused. i've been smoking weed forever and i'm still healthy, other drugs are known and proven to be a lot harmful and shouldnt really be consumed by the public at all.

  • Weed will give you panick attacks and weed will make you 50% more likely to have a heart attack within 20 mins of smokng it , and yeah ive smoked dutch and canadian for 10 years straight ....

  • Comment removed

  • I didnt get panick attacks for 10 years dawg of smoking daily lots of weed and strong weed some of the strongest in the world , but once you use all the ceritonin in your brain there is a chemical imbalance lol , i know many people to get panick attacks from coke heroin and weed , its drugs any psychoactive drug will give a person psychitzophrenia or if they lucky panick attacks after a certain amount of time using drugs , so yeah , you can do drugs for long time but one day it will snap ....

  • maybe u started gettingpanic attacks because you got older and the hostile and not always freindly environment we live in not to mention the endless uncertainties this world brings.

  • That is true my man , i have self analyzed my situation over and over to try and find the root cause about why i got panick attacks and yes i has just moved out of my parents house and was living on my own for a year and a half then they started , but generally speaking i had smoked far too much high grade weed , its a psychosematic disorder , and weed is psychoactive and also i dont get panick attacks atall if i dont smoke weed lol , yeah stress can cause panick attacks, was weed for me ;-)

  • serotonin

  • if u suffer from panic attacks from it then dont take it. i dont mean to say that legalizing it means everyone should take it, if its not for u then dont use it.

  • So then, should Drano be banned because someone might consume it? Ban cigarettes, twinkies, hot dogs, swimming pools, cars, and anything else that is potentially harmful? That is the problem. Where do you draw the line? And more importantly, why are YOU (or your designated congressional thug) drawing any lines for me in the first place? It should be seen as a personal health issue, not a criminal issue. My health is my problem, not yours. That's why I don't drink Drano or do meth.

  • We have violent crime surrounding the drug trade precisely BECAUSE people like you made it a criminal trade. You mean well, but create an explosion of unintended consequences. Camel and Marlboro don't have neighborhood shootouts. Obviously making some drugs illegal has not stopped anyone from using them who really wants to. It just puts it in the hands of violent criminals instead of peaceful people.

While we're at it, lets decriminalize healthcare and let people get more of their own meds.

  • i just think drugs other than weed are just potentially too harmful to humans. can u really imagine a nation where all drugs are legal? just stop and think about it.

  • "just stop and think about it. "

    I have.

    A lot.

My personal conclusion is that if EVERYTHING was legal, and even if new and WORSE stuff is invented and made legal, I still won't use it. I know some dipshits will, but that's their problem. Don't infringe MY rights because dipshits are stupid.

In my fantasy future, legislative governments would no longer exist so this would be a moot point. But that's a whole other issue. . . .

  • i mean if there are so many people in rehab because of drug abuse, what do u think is going to happen if they are all legal?
