UGLE is seen as a benchmark it being considered the country of origin but it has no control over others.

As for the French revolution, while some of it may have been planned by masons it certainly wasn't carried out by them. The vast majority of masons are Christians and indeed some orders require a Christian faith (see Knights Templar) the reason you have been told of jewish conspiracies is simply that during the 1700's freemasonry allowed Jews to join when they were still being persecuted in wider society.

Also Pike's work states in the prologue that it is his view and is not to be considered the view of all masons within his jurisdiction, let alone the world. As an English mason who has no connection to the scottish rite his writings don't have much relevance to my masonry.

@greyface01 The scottish rite isn't officially recognised by the United Grand Lodge of England, there's no prohibition against it and gets practised under the name Rose Croix, but that was warranted by northern USA jurisdiction. Also all masons don't answer to one Grand Lodge, each Grand Lodge is sovereign within its borders. UGLE is seen as a benchmark it being considered the country of origin but it has no control over others.

@greyface01 There is a side degree called the Knights Templar, they do not claim to be the actual order but have ceremonies based upon the history of the order. Please try looking it up. As for the French revolution, while some of it may have been planned by masons it certainly wasn't carried out by them. The American revolution was led by several masons, George Washington for example, he later laid the capitol's foundation stone in full masonic regalia.
