President Barack Hussein Obama II will never have the integrity of President John Fitzgerald Kennedy Sr. He had little experience in politics compared to JFK and has lately been appeasing just like the late UK Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain who appeased Adolph Hitler.
President Obysmal, cuts to SS, Medicare & Medicad is NOT "taking a balanced approach" ... and as smart as Thom is when will he get it that Obummer's constant caving in to Rethugs and his adoption of their BS false narrative(s) ..show that he is a true corporatist ..and not on the side of average folks struggling.
Stick to "repealing unnecessary tax breaks" and "closing loop holes." Find good statistics on how much big business legally gets away with tax evasion, and moves money out of the country, while small business suffers. Republicans cant say no to these very reasonable concepts, but if you keep saying "revenue" increases the spin machine will make you into a "tax and spend liberal."
@DP3mo24hofosho I think calling him a psycho right wing nutjob is a decent specific reason I don't like him and his bs. Would you like a line by line list of all the things that cause me to say fuck that pos or do you just want a general idea of why I don't care for right wing extremists/fundamentalists.
@daderone his "bs" and "psycho talk" includes perdicting the economic collapse, perdicting 9/11, and being the only candidate offering real solutintions so both of those things so they will not happen again. besides, since when has freedom and following the constitution become and extremist/fundamentalist idea? go ahead and give me a general idea why you hate him. also, if you don't like him, who is your choice for president?
@DP3mo24hofosho predicted the econcollapse? lol wow, what about helped 2 cause it? What you call real solutions I call bullshit, rhetoric and lies and honestly of all the candidates he's the most full of shit and crazy. Since when does following the Constitution become an extremist/fundamentalist idea? When extremists/fundamentalists try 2limit the Constitution to their interpretation.
@daderone he did not help to cause it, he stood alone in congress voting against bills that helped destroy our economy, like printing more money, having a failed monetary policy, and delebratly manipulating prices in housing which caused the housing bubble. now that bubble collapsed, and as a result, ressession, which would have not happened if Ron Paul had his way. But instead they called him crazy. now everything he has perdicted came true. again, stop giving empty insults. specifics please
@DP3mo24hofosho sure because the Bush tax breaks weren't what helped to destroy our economy, because deregulation hasn't hurt small businesses and vital industries as well as eroded workers rights. Ron Paul is a corporate whore and a rabid right wing fundamentalist/extremist. Its his sort of bs ideological fallacy, lies and agenda that have wrecked havoc upon our nation. There is nothing empty about my insults to this pos you praise, he earned them all. explain how he isn't a right wing fundanut
@daderone he isnt a right wing fundanut because he voted against his party to go to war, he voted against his party for the patriot act, and he never voted for an unbalanced budget unlike his party. by the way, those regulations are not hurting the big coorporations, they help them. the bank regulations hurt the local banks like my grandfather's bank. his bank is about to go out of buisness because of these new regulations when his bank never put out bad loans on purpose like the big banks did.
@DP3mo24hofosho which are all positions he's taken to give a false appearance of consistency with his ultra-nationalist right wing fundamentalist ideology as is your perspective on regulations. Frankly if you don't comprehend these realities then its a sad reflection of your understanding of political ideology or just your pathetic attempt to deflect and shill for this nut. Basically everytime he's gone against his party its because they're not right wing enough for him not visa versa.
@daderone THE REALITY IS MY GRANDFATHER'S BANK IS GOING OUT OF BUISSNESS BECAUSE OF THE STUPIDITY OF BIG BANKS, SO WE BAIL THEM OUT, PASS REGULATION THAT DESTROY LOCAL BANKS WHILE BIG BANKS GET BONUSES. HOW FUCKED UP IS THAT? ALL BECAUSE OF BUSH AND OBAMA! THAT IS ULTRA NATIONALIST RIGHT WING FUNDAMENTALIST IDEOLOGY OR WHATEVER THE FUCK YOU WANT TO CALL THAT! RON PAUL HAS BEEN ONE OF THE VERY FEW IN CONGRESS TO OPPOSE THIS BULLSHIT! AGAIN, SPECIFICS, PLEASE!!!!!!!!!
@DP3mo24hofosho don't get your panties all bunched up just cuz you don't like me telling you the truth about this cocksucker rightwinger or explaining to you what is obviously over your head. Cry to someone else about your Grandpa's bank. I've got an ex gf who can't see a doctor about breast cancer because she can't afford insurance thanks to quacks like rp and his conservative butt buddies. I've got a cousin on unemployment that fucks like rp won't vote to extend or support the Jobs Act
@daderone oh, im sorry. you know, people can get really riled up on the internet and be really insensitive. my bad. well, at least you finnaly gave me real reasons why you don't like him and they are perfectly reasonable. but you also got to understand we are in a dept crisus and we just can't continue to spend like crazy, or else our dollar will collapse and we will become greece in ten years. we need leaders who are willing to cut our budget. but Ron Paul will go after military spending first.
@DP3mo24hofosho we're not going to cut our way out of debt. Thats like me telling you to saw off your arm to lose weight. There is money to be saved in our spending but we should get more out of the money we spend and spend with less waste as well as more wisely. An economy in recovery due to a reduction of revenue + increase of spending is not solved by further decreasing revenues and continuing to decrease spending. It is thru wise spending and increased revenues to acheive surplus not +debt.
@daderone we need people to be willing to balance our budget. if we don't soon, then yes, we will need to cut off an arm to lose wieght. and we cant continue to pass legislation for more spending without anything to fund it. that is why Ron Paul opposes the 500 billlion dollar jobs bill, we are broke. nobody in washington, not even the republicans, are willing to admit it. the democrates dont care about our dept, but at least they admit they dont care about it, unlike republicans
@DP3mo24hofosho I'm willing to balance our budget by paying more in taxes along with the top 1% of income earners. As someone who lost a lot of weight without some crash diet or eating disorder I'll tell you its done with a healthy schedule, 3 small meals a day and exercise. For our nation that means realistic intake of healthy amount of revenue, cutting out waste and spending our energy & revenue in ways that produce growth. I went from being 250lbs - 170 w/ a 6pack. America should b #1 again.
its not about losing weight or making cuts to reduce debt. Its about being healthy, returning to a healthy equilibrium with common sense logic. Common sense that is thrown out the window in the nutjob right wing extremist ideology of basically every Republican/conservative and especially in your beloved rp. Common sense that is replaced with conservative economic fallacy, rhetoric and propaganda. Conservative econ fallacy, rhetoric & propaganda that has wrecked havoc upon our nation historically
@daderone we pay enough taxes, our revenue stream is higher than ever before, even with the rates lower than they have been in 80 years. what we can do for more revenue without raising taxes is closing the loopholes so that GE, who made 282 billion last year, pay thier 35% coorporate tax instead of paying 0%. but obama wont do that, he got a ton of campain money from them. republicans are just as bad, they are financed by oil companys. Ron Paul doesn't recieve any money from coorporations.
@DP3mo24hofosho it depends who you mean by we when you say "we pay enough taxes". Corporations along with the wealthiest Americans do not "pay enough taxes" thats honest and real and if it were up to rp they'd all pay less. Which is a small part of why he's batshit insane
@daderone coorporations pay the highest coorporate tax rate in the world here at 35%. why do you think so many jobs are shipped overseas? Ron was against the bailouts, which only helped the one percent, he is for closing tax loopholes and ending tax subsidies, which is why he does not recieve money from coorporations, unlike Romney, Perry, and Obama. he is for ending the federal reserve, which de-values the dollar driving wealth up to the rich while the poor see thier wages stay the same.
@DP3mo24hofosho actually as you recognized many corporations don't pay any taxes let alone 35% so be honest or accurate. Obama has tried to close these loopholes with Democrats and was blocked by Republicans.rp wants to get rid of the dept of education, and basically all forms of govt. Its beyond absurdity it is repulsive and disgusting. the only people his policies actually promote are those at the top and the biggest businesses despite your rhetoric and claims otherwise.
@DP3mo24hofosho is that your best way of not answering the question? I'll take it as a yes and tell you that no it is not just the states that take care of our public schools. The fed. government provides aide to the states so that they can afford to provide an education for our citizens in its most at need areas that are underfunded & where students are most in need. It also plays a very important role in regulation of education but thats gonna fly right over your head & make u go conservanuts
your hositility towards such dept's of government are a great example of the logic behind your economics of hate. Fuck rp and the rest of his extremist right wing conservative butt buddies.
@daderone oh, alright. yes, i did go to public school. But our country needs to be willing to swallow some bad tasting medicine. Do I want all of these cuts to happen? no, of course not. But at the same time if we don't, we are going to become Greece and Italy in ten years and go bankrupt. period. and on Obama trying to cut loopholes, his campain was heavily supported by GE, so i do not trust him when he says he wants to cut all tax loopholes, which would make GE pay thier fair share.
@DP3mo24hofosho you say you don't want these cuts to happen but rp does, conservatism does. They're not calling for the cuts based on need but following ideology/theory. Failed fallacy filled political and economic theory & general misnomers. On promoting logical & modern economics your idol has consistently promoted policy that create econ. decline, instability and debt as well as job loss, believing it will do anything else is a wilfully ignorant dillusion 2 justify small minded perspective.
@daderone These cuts have to happen. None of his fellow "conservatives" are serious about spending cuts. They just claim to be. Your logical & modern economics created this mess and did not see the economic collapse come. Ron Paul's austrian economics did see the economic collapse coming and they know what fundamentally caused it. Type in austrian economics vs kenysian economics and you will see what I am talking about. What you are saying is painfully false, I'm sorry.
@DP3mo24hofosho "these cuts have to happen" according to you perhaps. Not according to me. Logical and modern economics include a role for a public and private sector that are fully functional and include private and public investment at different levels of the national economy. Logical and modern economics include taking in more then you spend and recognize that one way 2 get there is to spend less and another is to make more. I'm on the make more and do more side, you're on the do nothing side
and in case you didn't notice this isn't Austria and I'm beyond glad, this is the United States of America. You've swallowed a bunch of political economic fallacy and think you learned economics thru wikipedia and youtube videos but all you did was get brainwashed about some libertarian pipe dream and dated irrelevant theory and extremist ideology. Increase taxes on the top 1% to what they were under previous administrations before Bush and invest in our future. Wake up or take a nap.
@daderone I'm on the "stop spending 3.7 trillion dollars when we take in 2.2 trillion dollars" side. I'm on the "balance our f***ing budget before we go bankrupt" side. I also want to see us stop printing more money so wealth doesn't keep going up to the one percent destroying the middle class.
@DP3mo24hofosho I know what side you're on, and I know what side rp is on. the extreme right side. I never doubted it, you did...but thanks for proving it. I think you should probably just take a nap instead of promoting your failed economic garbage in here or your small minded 'solutions'. Its people exactely like you and your beloved rp who have waged an economic war on the middle class thru your supply side twisted economic darwinism. Welcome to 2011.
@daderone whatever dude. I already told you how he is for the middle class and the poor, but you continue to ignore the facts, and ignore my arguments. Have a nice day.
@DP3mo24hofosho he's for the middle class having McDonald's education to replace public schools, for taking social security and medicare away from seniors, cutting funds for everything from food inspectors to drug regulators and environmental laws so your friendly big corporate shit hole can dump its waste into your river and buy a water purifier with a govt coupon. he's for getting rid of financial aide for the poor, jobs or benefits to the unemployed or disabled. fuck that and fuck him.
@daderone okay, you are misinformed. 1. he stated he will preserve medicare and social security for seniors. 2. he believes in protecting the enviornment by having stricter personal property rights so that coorporations can not polute your air or water on your property. 3. getting rid of the minimum wage would help the poor, its basic economics. look it up. 4. He believes education should have competition to drive up the quality of education. 5. he believes states should deal with benefits. gosh
@DP3mo24hofosho coincidentially 1. his promoted measures to 'preserve medicare and social security' involve privatizing these institutions which is simply as disolution of the instution into a govt held private subsidy, be honest or get informed. 2. his position on the environment is a nice way of ignoring what is not private and the protections of what is public again an assault on the very agencies set to protect Americans and preserve our environment, not just your backyard. 3. you're insane.
4. he believes in the privatization of education which is a direct assault on the middle class and the right for our citizens to education. It is a neccessary commitment and investment of our nation for our future, but your guy believes in allowing corporations to pay people pennies and force them on welfare, make them pay for everything from education to health, even if they've worked and paid taxes and depend on these things.
In your world we'd all be dumbed down and left to get paid shit told to compete with wages of third world countries to unregulated corporations who dump their waste in our natural resources and drug companies who get away with murder and sell drugs that kill. why because you bought and promote some psycho pipe dream rabid right wing nutjob economic fallacy and social/political ideology. 5. he promotes some pre-civil rights mentality to states rights and panders to racists and extremists.
Thom is right that it is a phony debate when Republicans raised the debt ceiling like 7 times during the Bush administration. Now they are playing politics to appease their base, to look like they are fighting Obama, but they will raise the debt ceiling at the last minute like they always do. Why? Because they know the Federal Reserve will just print the money. They are in bed with the banksters as much as Obama and the Dems are.
... if corporations are people, shouldn't people be corporations too? I should be able to deduct my living costs as "cost of labor sold" and only be taxes on my "profit", which is basically zero. lol
Obama is great at talking. Where is the doing or at least putting up a fight? The 5% of our US population over the last 20 years has amassed over 40 trillion dollars. Thats more money than has been made in the entire history of mankind. Those people need to pay. The regular people have already paid and continue to pay and are happy to pay and all they want is a job, a home, some savings and money to put the kid through college is that to much to ask?
Internationally we need to close loopholes, and introduce wealth taxes on assets located in tax havens. Bring an end to secrecy. If companies actually are based in the cayman islands thats fine giving jobs to small countries is good thing.
Pres.Obama ain't closing no loop holes like Pres.Kennedy.I believe what he has proven so far that his idol is Pres.Reagan & the Republicans(Puritans). do not listening to his speeches, but pay attention to his actions.
President Barack Hussein Obama II will never have the integrity of President John Fitzgerald Kennedy Sr. He had little experience in politics compared to JFK and has lately been appeasing just like the late UK Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain who appeased Adolph Hitler.
