@AZDesertRose76 Yes. This is students grade 10-12 that auditioned to be in this choir. The choir is around... I believe it was 190 people that year.

This sounds so professional :) Our high school choir is doing this song for our christmas concert this year and I am so excited, because I am singing soprano 2 and I love that part, it is so pretty! You guys have a very nice blend of all the vocal parts! Great job :)

I am the Music Director for my church. The adult choir did this piece for Christmas 2 years ago. With only 18 people they by no means pulled it off like this High School choir did. I am extremely impressed with this performance. Way to go everyone and keep on keeping on............................

Is this a peice meant for 10-12 graders? Cuz I'm a highschool freshman and actually doing decent at it.

For accuracy's sake, and to give credit were credit is due, this music was written by Johann Schop dating from the early 1600's, and the text is credited to Johann Rist. J.S. Bach harmonized the music as we enjoy it today about 100 years after it was written.

However, this is indeed a very good performance by the South Jersey Senior Choir!

Scales aren't worth that much on your audition. The most impotant part is the quartet. And the solo.

Don't be nervous at all. The auditions are blind (they don't look at you) which makes it really easy. Just don't be scared. haha. Go in with the mind-set of oh i'm gonna make it. haha. I take it you're a sophomore?

Yeah. I know a lot of peole like that who make it. Just remember, eventually you do have to use falsetto. Just don't be nervous. That will increase your chances of making it by soo much. It happens all the time. People get nervous then they fuck up and don't make it. hahah.

A word about that "German" they taught us...

I went to Germany this summer, and said the words from that song to my host family exactly as they taught us to say them...and the family looked at me like I was crazy. *nods* True story. ASJC has ruined my grasp of the German language.
