I'm starting to like Hawkeye, so to be fair, this defeat of the Hulk is sensible, but only in the context that he's holding back because he could easily kill them with a sonic clap or whatever, and that he's just been out of a fight with the Absorbing Man, the military, then took a missile to the face, and then stopped the plane from crashing.

So I don't blame him for losing to puny humans in this case.

Did you notice the state he was in? The hulk's resistance depends on his mood. If he is angry then things like the widow's sting don't affect him just make him madder therby more stronger. . Banner made the hulk feel relieved at catching the ship so he was vulernable to attack.

This makes the hulk more realistic. Like the animated hulk series. He'd just gotten done beating up a major bad guy, fighting off an army, taking a missile to the guts has got to give one pause. Being smashed into a mountain and catching an aircraft have got to take it out of you.

Seams to me the Hulk knew what he was doing when he decided to stay. he could have run. He knew what was going to happen.

Also, this hulk seams alot smarter, and he can talk straight

Because I seem to remember them depowering Superman quite a bit and letting him get beat every once and a while for the sake of drama. It wouldn't be a good show if the Hulk just beat everything; allowances have to be made for a successful adaptation, and I'm fine with a slightly weaker Hulk. Besides, in this case Hulk was already tired out from his earlier fight, so it didn't seem so bad if Black Widow caught hm by surprise.
