  • Lol If boxing coaches had a common language/ technical jargon that we all used, then boxer's wouldn't get so confused. Especially when the boxer work's with other coaches on the pads for example, the coach can call a command and the boxer will know exactly how to respond. Just a thought

  • oh my god it's danny levito.

  • Is That A Dog In The Back?

  • This is a role. Not a slip... and the counter punching isn't to great. He's following a long range right cross with a close range left hook. If you land the long range right cross, the head will move back, so why would you throw a close range left hook. Just coaching bad punching patterns into the boxer. Also pushing the pad onto the boxers shot may look and sound good but again you are coaching your boxer to fall short in competition.

  • @SLCboxing exactly a role..

  • your absolutely right thats a roll under not a slip. Slip is either to the left or right then counter with a jab, uppercut, right hand or bodyshot. A lot of people don't know the science behind boxing. Its like the blind leading the blind.

  • 1- the bags keep moving 2- dog laying around

  • c'est clair, propre, même pour un francais !! lol

    du bon sparing!

  • it's a slip to them if that's what they call it. It's just symantecs. when you train in different gyms you find that different trainers call moves different things. Each over time develop their own lexicon.

  • i swear like 4/5 of the times those bags are swinging in the background. that annoys me for some odd reason

  • aahhaha gurantied 900 out of 10 :D :D :D

  • look at the dog chillin out in the back ground

  • the dog behind is it alive??????hahahahahaha

  • the dog behind is it alive??????hahahahahaha

  • thats a duck not a chicken

  • That's a duck not a goose.

  • @TreeDonkey992 jajaja

  • That's a bob 'n' weave or a duck in my book, too.

    Good drill anyway.

  • @denhatnochkeiner Boxing phonology is not set in stone... after 20 years a trainer will always have a COMPLETELY different lexicon than any other trainer. It's like evolution lawl the closer the trainer the closer the lexicon! On a side note that boxer's form is absolutely fantastic!

  • @Gooseman2k2 you are right on! I'm surprised these people don't get that! Maybe they just haven't been around much!

  • that's a weave, not a slip

  • i think the coach said always follow a right straight with a left hook so dont think he ment to say hook if he did :)

  • he's a good coach just a little old. he's the coach so he can call it whatever the hell he wants

  • loll look at the guys legs, his upper body is big but he has chicken legs, thats always why the boxers weakness is always his legs in a street fighter, one nice kick there from a kickboxer and there not gonna be fighting or will be at a huge disadvantage from wobbling

  • @daisyhunter123

I'm pretty sure he would knock you the fuck out.

  • @daisyhunter123

I'm pretty sure he would knock you the fuck out.

  • that's bob n weaving (to avoid Hooks)

Slip is to avoid straight punches

  • I'm not Freddie Roach, but I'm pretty sure that's "duck". The slip moves left to right or right to left (depending on what you're slipping) not down/up. "Slips" are normally for avoiding straight punches. "Ducks" are for avoiding hooks.

  • thats not a slip

  • thats not a fuckin slip

  • if your orthodix, you shold never thrown a right hook!

  • thats a roll you dumb arses

  • Thats not a slip, more of a roll

  • thats not a slip is it? thought thats a roll or dip?

  • His voice reminds me of larry merchant..

  • Thats not a slip. What they are doing is called bob 'n' weaving, or ducking. You usually bob 'n' weave hooks. A slip is when you "slip" your head to either side to dodge a jab or cross punch. Other than that, its a good drill he has...

  • @ReaperRyuji

does it really matter? your trainer's gonna show u how the drill is going to go and since its a drill, you'll get used to the pattern.

and your trainer's not gonna yell "SLIP THE PUNCH" everytime the other guy throws. its just basically an instinct thing. muscle memory.

when you throw that same combo in a fight, you might get hit or you might not, but your body remembers how to throw the combo and thats what the drill is for.

    just like a regular 1 - 2, u gotta learn it first.

  • @ReaperRyuji no sry mate but a bob and weave is when you lean back and slip,,foward is a slip but it's all good

  • @ReaperRyuji Love how everyone knows better than the boxing coach...

  • @LoftyProduction he's right you cock licket

  • @iJaaacobM ring ring... "Hello, don't give a fuck productions, how can I help?"

  • @iJaaacobM Lmaoo!!!

  • @LoftyProduction Fuckin thank You!!!!....Know it alls.

  • @enteralif not trying to be a know it all you obviously don't know shit about boxing

  • @iJaaacobM Like im gonna listen to a corny insult from a Prick Face like you,I dont have to prove to you shit about boxing so in closing, Keep ya yap shut and go suck yuh moms Dick.

  • I guess slipping refers to ducking hooks, but I thought it referred to tucking your head to the side away from a straight bunch, then again I'm more familiar with Thai boxing.

  • haha he has noodle arms on the pads

  • That's a duck, not a slip.

  • that is a huge cat need to get it doing some cardio or something

  • @hardonsports Ay Yeeuh tho thtupid lol

  • good but man i need some offense................

  • i already knew this easy

  • what did you suspect. Ofcoursee this is no use if your in a boxing club or something. This is for those who are all new to boxing and maybe not even train boxing from a coach, those who just buy a boxing bag and a couple of gloves and start hitting. If you train in a boxing club or likely this is ofcourse no use, its better to listen to your own coach then to this "crap"..

  • "Crap"? Dino is one of the greatest boxing trainers today!! This is very good training to teach novice boxers how to be on offense, when on defense!!

  • not if your in a boxingclub already being train by a coach.

  • I'm on the Boxing team here at the world's famous 20th Street Gym here in Denver. Coach Baca, our coach is teaching the boxers the EXACT same thing that Dino is teaching.

Freddie Roach, Angelo Dundee, Emmanuel Steward, and all the great coaches teach....The same thing as Dino.

I'll give you the benefit of the doubt, if you are saying: "A trainer is better than getting all your training on youtube- In that case, you are 100% correct. Otherwise, this training is NOT "crap">

  • just a thought was is the guy holding the pads so wide because nobody has a big head that size and when hold pads he should hold them up or the guy will drop short on his punchers with a guy his own size

  • Hahaha, that dog's just chillin'.

  • I love the big dog chillin in the backround

  • I believe that is a cat

  • Hahaha...funny at 0:13 when he burb...:P

  • Excellent instruction ! ! !
