My dad wore my ass out as a child and it still didn't work lol. I did what I wanted to do (I got beat for mischief nothing serious), but the reason I didn't listen was because the beatings for me made me respect my dad less. Kudos to this vid im 16 and you gotta get the beatings. Shitthe best beating i got was wow. My mom told me to take a fucking shower after i really fucked up. And i did. I went into my room to dry up and all i hear is my mother walk in and turn of the light and hear her crack the belt. I don't know. So many people seem to think spanking is the answer. I worked with a group of kids that would make you want to get a vasectomy, and they all got spanked at home. So it's not as easy as just grabbing a belt.

growing up my parents were strict and best believe I got spankings. they allowed the nursey school teachers to spank us too. i can honestly thank everyone for the discipline because it made me the person I am today.
I believe proper discipline should be a combination of rules and consequences along with positive reinforcement. Sometimes spanking the child doesn't always work, and the child needs to know the rules from day one, why they should be kept and what to expect when they're broken. It also helps a lot to have an open relationship with the child, and to be a responsible parent they can talk to. Sometimes that's all the child needs is to feel loved, encouraged and be respectful towards adults.
It's plenty of kids that get the living hell beat out of them and they still don't have the basics. Back in the day ass-whoopings and good parenting aren't synonomous.

Children are not respectful like back in the day. Parents need to stop trying to be their kids friend and be the parent. I believe in whoopins even though I don't have children, but when the time comes, and they decide to act a fool, they are getting some hands laid on them. If you do not teach the children when they are young, then it is a lot harder to correct later on. My dad wore my ass out as a child and it still didn't work lol. I did what I wanted to do (I got beat for mischief nothing serious), but the reason I didn't listen was because the beatings for me made me respect my dad less. I think that how children are raised begin by having a strong foundation. If your parenting is not built on that foundation, then you can't build back up what falls. I believe proper discipline should be a combination of rules and consequences along with positive reinforcement. Sometimes spanking the child doesn't always work, and the child needs to know the rules from day one, why they should be kept and what to expect when they're broken. It also helps a lot to have an open relationship with the child, and to be a responsible parent they can talk to. Sometimes that's all the child needs is to feel loved, encouraged and be respectful towards adults.

I believe in whoopins even though I don't have children, but when the time comes, and they decide to act a fool, they are getting some hands laid on them. My oldest brother is a teacher now, I am doing well, and my little brother who is 13 has made the honor role 3 straight semester's this year alone. yes my mama, before I graduated, called the school on a regular basis makin sure I had my credits and she also always stood by the teacher "talkin bout I know u did it cuz u do it at home" and deez kidz are bein defended too much by the parent.

One of my parents' friend's child said that she was gonna call Child Protective Services on her parents if they beat her and they told her to call them b/c when they get out of jail, they're gonna come back after her

I was never beaten or "whooped" as you say and I turned out to be one of the most considerate, quietest, and nicest children around.. And now I am a very well-rounded person..

haha i agree with you all cause todays kids and teenagers think they can do whatever they want, now we have way too many teens pregnant and kids talk back way too much, i think parents should be able to hit their kids to a certain extent, but not to the extent where they actually hurt the kids, kids and teens need to know that there are limits and they cant do whatever they want

I know that's right. I hated getting whippings as a child just like other kids that got them obviously, but it certainly helped me to stay on the right path in my childhood. I'm so grateful that my mom wasn't lazy in disciplining me. Oh and MakaeI I can releate to what you said about everybody being pregnant in high school. It was like the norm. By the time I was a senior in high school at least 15 girls in my senior class were pregnant at the same time during the prom and graduation SMH!!

Makael, it is good to see you on the show again.
If you do not teach the children when they are young, then it is a lot harder to correct later on. My mom knew all the teachers, store clerks, principals, church members etc. The all had permission to beat my tale. BEAT THE CHILDREN!!! If the child does not want to follow the rules, they do not deserve to live in the house.

Parents need to whip there children. I used to get whipped when I was younger. My Mom didn't care she used to beat the shit outta me. When I got suspended from school for fighting when I was in the 7 grade my mom came up to school and she slapped me in front of the principal. I made sure I never got in trouble in school after that. She would whip me for small things like not washing the dished when she told me. I love her but I am a daddy's girl. He spoiled me and never whipped me. He yelled tho

my momma whooped my and my sisters and brother when we were little and my older sister is 21 i'm 18 my younger sister is 17 and my brother is 13 we behave well and she be getting my little brother she said you have to get boys early my aunt has four boys all she did was buy them cloths to make up for when she was going out her boys are 25, 20, 17, and 15 the 25 year still living with her and bullying the others the 20 year was just released from jail the 15 year taking nude pics on the internet

the problem lies with the parents- single parent mothers cant raise a family, it takes a family mother, father, and outside help. Also the parents have to lay values and morals at an early age. My mom idnt come home so I had plenty of oppurnities to do badbut she gave us morals and values that i still grow up on. so MORALS AND VALUES if u set them early on and respect yourself- your child will do the same. as babies children pick up on everything- attitudes and all

I'm a mother and my daughter is 19yrs. old now. When she was younger and I got a call from the school that she was acting up, I use to show up at the school swinging a belt! All that disrepectful behavior begins when your child is young. Parents, start dusting their lil behinds off as soon as you see them stepping out of line or they'll grow up and walk all over you.
