how does it work with out resitance and weights?

the glassfibre rods in the machine gives the resistance but i personally think free weights are the best

Try researching the product. The revolution does not use rods like the other bowflexes. It uses hollow plastic cylinders which have bands in them which rotate and are stretched by the cam in the machine.
