I remember a girl i knew, she would take every other week off an no one knew why. She would just no go to school. Well, once the board of education got into it, they found she was living in a car and didn't have clean clothes often so she would skip school so others wouldn't notice that she was wearing the same few clothes repeatedly. It really is quite sad because we have 2 support centers in my town that could help people like that. We did get her and her family help in the end though. :)

Honestly? There were places like this back in the 70s as well ( clothes closets and places to go get government surplus and such as well as free medical clinics ) for the poor. I think you have to realize the "Poor epidemic" has been going on as far back as I can remember.

So sad that America is going down as poverty is going up in the numbers. No real good jobs available in the USA, as we need to stop out sourcing so we can keep our American jobs.

Children are so mean to well to do middle class students that dont bo buy the high dollar thad of the day I hate to see how they treat these poor students. School uniforms has brought a lot of that nonsense down a notch. I remember I worked for my school clothes I went to shop for them I got the best deals I could find I didnt seek the in thing and when I got to school they treated me so badly that I just wanted out and I was everything right about USA the person that went out and got his own.
