I first learned about the character Sarah Jane in School Reunion. I instantly fell in love with her character!! I live in America so I never heard of the Sarah Jane Adventures till a year ago when I watched it on Syfy. (They barely show it)

I began watching the episodes on youtube during the summer and sadly that is when I discovered she was dead. It amazes me when I think how I only saw her in one episode of doctor who 5 years ago, and how fast I fell in love with her and her personality. RIP

I was a very young girl when I watched Elisabeth Sladen in Dr Who, and now I'm glad I decided to watch Dr. Who again when we got to re-meet Sarah Jane Smith again both in school reunion and in the brilliant Sarah Jane Adventures. For not having seen her on screen would be a total tragedy. For me she is the number 1 assistant with Rose Tyler number 2 (K9 is always with Sarah Jane so he's number 1 too). David Tennant is my favourite Doctor so seeing them together with Rose was a dream come true.

I would love that they did a proper tribute later in the year when before they show what has already been filmed of SJA S5. An hour long, and with Baker et al included would be wonderful :)

I would have liked it if they paid their respects in this programme, but I can imagine that this news hit very hard and closer to home than anyone would have liked.

@ShadowTreasurer This special was aired very shortly after Lis died, in fact it was the Saturday immediately following. This programme was put together very quickly, and there probably just wasn't time and resources available to film everyone, many of whom were probably filming other projects. Tom Baker seems like the type of person who would prefer to mourn in private, as well.

I had no idea until last night when I was watching the impossible astronaut, I thought/hoped it was a mistake until I saw she passed away last week.
