I liked it but, the bad thing was, is that it takes up a lot of GB. 1:10 seconds = 1.1 GB. I uploaded a short film, and overall, it was over 70GB to publish. Not worth the price but it's ok...

If you buy a harddrive that has the value of TB instead of GB than you need to spare money or be rich, A pc that has the value of TB is pretty much expensive and most people arent that rich. Maybe in the USA a computer with TB is cheap but not in Europe.

@True2TheBlueYoViGang they do that by using a green screen you need a editor software like sony vegas pro 10 that is capable of green screen you then buy a big green sheet of paper that you put behind you while you film yourself then in the editor you can turn the background white and throw in some pictuers idk if power direct has green screen but Vegas dose but the prob with vegas is that its 600 bucks but has so many features like 3D and blu ray

The feds go after the uploaders not the downloaders most of the time to take out the prob faster then going after individuals who downlaoded it the only prob is seeders make it imposible so they have to take out all downladers. dont seed, dont torrent, use megauplaod.

lol just 2day i found powerdirector on my computer XD the ppl at the store used this computer so i guess they bought it and installed it on here.It was installed last year and we got this computer this year.I discovered it when i was going 2 uninstall a software and saw PowerDirector.I opened it up and its the full version.Not gonna hardly use it though since i already got sony vegas and adobe master collection cs5 on here.

I love this program! 100x better than Windows Movie Maker, and it has more of a professional feeling to it. It also has so many great effects with it too. Windows Movie maker only supports simple files like .WMV, but this one here supports many more. I was lucky, it came with a limited version of it on my new laptop.

Alright, this program may not compare to Sony Vegas or Adobe Premiere but it's not as bad as everyone makes it sound. I make my YouTube videos using CyberLink PowerDirector & they're ok! If it weren't for this program I'd be stuck with using WMM. The program came with my computer so I'm thankful for that and sure it closes down sometimes, but honestly, what program doesn't? I would have gotten Sony Vegas but I'm just as happy with this program as any other. It's good if you know how to use it.

You sir, need to learn how to use vegas. Vegas is 10 times better than this. Ask any professional video editor. Vegas (pro version) is trusted by alot of professional video editors, power director is a more casual editor geared towards consumers. Vegas was used to edit films like paranomal activities and survivormen.

yes, sony vegas does crash occasionally when you're dealing with not-so commonly used file formats. Its best to convert them to AVI or WMV or MOV first before putting them into vegas. lol

I bought it, installed it on our fastest machine. Crashed all the time. Reinstalled Windows XP, did all upgrades, installed this PD8 only. Crashed all the time.

I have 5 computers in the company, different config. Tried on all of them. On some it runs fairly OK, with few enough crashes to be usable.

If all programs were like this I'd never buy a computer.

I have this software. Its not great. Its easy to use but its all downhill from here. Its not compatible with MP4 videos without Klite (seperate download needed) and even then its still terrible. If you have a clip that has alot going on in it with plenty of colour the videos frame rate will drop to around 5 FPS during this period. The program doesnt like too many cuts either and will destroy your audio in sync with the video if you make too many cuts.

@BxSQUIRREL I'd change to Sony Vegas but I was told from people who use it that certain formats dont work well with that either. I very much doubt Cyberlink 9 has addressed these format issues because I doubt they realise that they exsist. I can be almost sure all they will have done is improved the way the software works rather than making it more compatible with the likes of mp4. I could be wrong but I've yet to come across a software program that works perfectly with mp4.

I'm going to upgrade to Windows 7 64 bit and then buy the Cyberlink powerdirector 9 64 bit edition. If it doesnt work out then I'll never buy powerdirector again.
