well, my idea is that a cover should be your musical influence on the song. covering a cover is kinda, overkill haha. if it were my song, it'd be fine, but someone playing a cover in the manner that i learned it and perform it, is kinda too much.

plus the illusion and mystery is all part of the allure :).

Well, yes, I agree with you that a cover shouldn't be a slavish imitation of the original, but I do wish I could see the chords as you make them. After I learn songs, I always put my own spin on them anyway.
