  • I'm from lynwood and when ppl ask where's that I say close to compton they're like ohhhh... Smh

  • dominguez dons! i saw this in class last year, i remember archie from when he was at my house with my bro. were not all drug addicts and crack dealers >.>

  • Don Country, That's right everyone in Compton ain't gang banging, the fact is that most people are your every day working people trying to feed our families. Dominguez Dons Class of "77"

  • Awesome vid

  • Very Good

  • I pray God's blessing and protection over each and everyone of you.

  • Touching

  • A film worth watching!

  • i liked it and so did my boyfriend who watched it just cause he wanted to try and get some booty lol

  • wow i thought compton was hard.there was no sense of the school being dangerous at all.the kids seem nice and very timid.my hs in houston which wasnt considered bad was lke a prison compared to this compton hs.thats a good thing makes u see compton is not nearly as bad as gang members and rappers try to pump it up to be

  • @mrpapafunky7879 I just read a study the F. B. I. published, which states that urban crime in the oldest parts of big cities has been going down since the 90s, and new suburb crime it up! Guess white flight is counterprodutive, eh?

  • @ARP7777777 I do know in cities like LA especially,so many of the "bad" are dead or in jail.Increased incarceration rates is a definite cause for lower crime rates. But leaves alot of kids with no parental supervision but whats worst no parent at all or one engaged in illegal activity.Thats1 key reason for "urban kids" lack of self respect ,esteem, confidence, guidance etc.Suburbs, you have spoiled kids engaging in crime for fun or to support drug habbits.Typically they have decent parents

  • D-High, you have given new meaning to the term, "off Broadway." I do believe they have some competition, comp-ta-tition, with your burgeoning Thespian program.

I hope to attend one of your future productions as I have a personal, and I think, positive, connection to Compton, though I have never been there.

  • This was so great. Movies like this never get old.

  • just because it's free xD

  • Strong, Very Strong characters, message, and relation to life. This movie resonated the same ideas and some thoughts that my friends and I shared growing up. Just recently before I graduated from under grad, I witnessed a shooting on the same street where I was sitting. Thank God my grad school is located in a better area than my under grad.

  • Awesmome that they use George Benson's music!!!!!

  • I watched this in my drama class. Very inspiring

  • i appreciate who ever decided to show the other side of this city, when so many film directors and artists try to make a buck off its tragedies.

  • They had this at my high school and I swear I never cried so much in my whole short life. I'm from Arizona by the way so I had no idea it was in more then one place. I was only there for a few short days but I made a family with complete strangers. If your school has this I strongly recommend that you look into going. You'll be happy that you did.

  • What the hell IS Ethnic Clothing?

    /chinstroke

  • @Jinggley -Well,in the 50's the Italian guys would wear the "Guinny T's".You know the sleeveless under shirts, with a couple-a spagetti stains. then there is the "Barrio "and or Mexican black pants plaid shirt, top button buttoned. The Afro-American and or "Ghetto",pants low, with boxer underwear about 2 inches higher,to big shirts, and caps on backwards.2 or 3 inches of asc crack showing is ' the look ',...these all have made their way into middle American towns.A Statement................look at me

  • I remember how we had to go to this theater somewhere in D.C. when our class was studying documentaries. It was awesome, I loved it!

I also remember when the boys heard the gunshots, everyone who was watching was like, "Why don't they leave!?"

  • Fantastic, inspiring, and a joy to watch

  • ahhh! just got done watching this doc. i wanted so badly for it to go well for these kids. how rewarding it was in the end.

its awesome to see how much we are all alike. our problems, anxieties, and feelings. no matter where you're from. so proud of these kids.
