If you play it over and over it has an almost musical quality to the background. Someone needs to do a pogo (fagotron on youtube) style remix of this.
I was left feeling a little upset at the ending... it was rather anti-climactic and too open for interpretation... perhaps, the character development in this story could have used a little work.. but otherwise, it was a moving story!
The metallic sound in the background really emphasizes the subtext. I'd really never considered the Russian revolution in those terms before. I mean, I wasn't there, but now I realize that it was my fault, somehow.
Couldn't understand it - needs subtitles

I looked deep into the soul of that cauliflower and realised something:
It ain't Coca-Cola. It's rice.

How could someone have disliked it? What's there to not like? o_O
The best thing is, you notice things the second time around that you couldn't fully appreciate upon initial viewing.

I see the underlying sense of dread, but caged, optimistic hopefulness about what the afterlife holds.

Wow. This film has made me realize how short life is, and how much we should treasure it. This symbolizes so much.

Well, she's got the short part down.. and it is a film. I cannot see anything that would keep her out of the competition.

A brilliant inversion of the David Wilson's 1976 "Stasis" work in the Oasis school of self-abnegating film narrative.
