In all honesty, any fighting game is winnable with a pad and anyone telling you otherwise is most likely trying to justify their purchase. Tournaments have been won by pad players before.

I do it all the time, But a Stick DOES give you MUCH more control than the 360 bad. Often times I end up Saber diving as zero instead of Lighting dashing, which prevents me from doing a few higher damage combo's, but it's nothing GAME BREAKING, just not as good as you can get.
