Also, keep in mind, a lot of X Japan fans are retarded fangirls who take everything personally. Don't get me wrong, I love X. I flew to Tokyo from Pennsylvania for one weekend just to see them live. You're not gonna find a bigger X fan than me. Difference is, I don't take everything like a rod up the ass like most fangirls do. So yeah, you're entitled to your opinion.

dude theres no way both these bands wich i also like could do a 29 minutes song in symphonic speed/power metal style and 3 minutes of neo classical solos wich btw kirk hammet only uses pentatonics and malakian doesnt even solo much,and a wicked 8 minutes piano solo,though serj is good in piano im pretty sure he couldnt go out of the box in the genious way yoshiki did

I absolutely agree but then take into consideration what they can do. It took Japan-X 3 years to make this song (i think cant remember) SOAD released 2 albums in this time (im not saying that japan-X didnt release anything else at the time). Maybe Soad etc. dont have 1 song that can match this in complexity and brilliance but imo altogether they absolutely blow japan-x away. And besides who seriously listens to the whole song in 1 go. Well I did but only once lol. O well I guess their both good.

i think u cant compare soad to x japan,their very diferent,soad focus more in the message (mostly political)and good riffs that go well with the song and x-japan tries to be more complex in songwriting,but if u ask me wich guitarist i prefer i must say i rather hear hide and pata than malakian altough he is fenomenal at rythm guitar

SOAD and X Japan are probably my two favorite bands, and I've seen them both in concert. I gotta say they're both phenomenal in their own way, but simply put, SOAD has nothing in their repertoire that can touch Art of Life (but who does?).
