@Bluntcard That's mean. Just let the cat go outside. They are wild animals. You can't "fix" nature. They are made to be that way for a reason. If we go around "fixing" every damn cat there won't be any left.
@CrazzyKawasaki my reason is that the only way to gt my cat from rollin around and rubbin on me is if i put a cat on heat howlin but this one didnt howl
@CrazzyKawasaki Why can't you answer that? you're one too...LOL Speaking for myself, I watched because my kitten is going through her 1st and LAST heat. She's so tiny, her age was miss calculated.
@CrazzyKawasaki Because I want to know if other cats going through heat looks anything like my cat going through heat. I'm such a sick fuck aren't I?!
@Decbabe85 If you work for a vet (which I seriously doubt), you would know that what you're saying is not endorsed by the average vet. Cats that are not desexed but then not mated are at risk of serious illnesses including pyometra, a serious and sometimes deadly infection of the uterus, where the entire uterus fills with puss. Or male cats at greater risk of prostate infections or cancer if not neutered. I also doubt a vet professional would conduct themselves by calling people "dumb ass"
@nupthatisit actually yes I do work at a vet--but are you really okay with berating people for not having a cat altered or spayed. like I said regardless of health issues you described--which iv'e heard mostly associated with dogs then cats?? there at "risk" for these issues, which doesn't necessarily mean they will definitely have them one day..I know quite a few people who have older pets that have not been spayed/altered whatever...and have yet to have this serious illness/infection
@Decbabe85 I will berate people who claim to professions but bely that profession with ridiculously irresponsible behaviour. And I will also berate those professionals who would give such blatantly irresponsible viewpoints stating that keeping unaltered cats is okay, when you would know the benefits of desexing far outweigh the negatives. The risks that you so conveniently placed in inverted commas are more common than you imply and you know it (if indeed you do work at a vets) cont.
@nupthatisit LMAO-- 1) I have to honestly say that I did not read any of your 5 long ass posts--because it's a waste of my valuable time :) 2) you seem like an ABSOLUTE psychopath for leaving this many messages all because you don't like my opinion 3) If you had actually read my FIRST post I NEVER said i DON'T AGREE WITH HAVING CATS SPAYED OR ALTERED i stated that it's not a natural part of their life...
, my main point for stating that I work in a vet was to explain that I have seen cases in which even AFTER surgery they can still go into heat and spray----you my friend have probably found all of your facts on the internet lol...oh yeah and you seem like a HUGE asshole, have a nice day :)
@Decbabe85 Futhermore this is no doubt the social impact of desexing as opposed to health. If you work in a vets (You may gather by now that I doubt this claim) you would be aware of what one female cat and her offspring can have the potential to produce - something like 40,000 cats in a span of only a few short years. How many cats do you think are feral in your country at the moment? How many cats are abandoned or surrendered? How many of those cats are ultimately euthanised? cont.
@Decbabe85 The third aspect is the social and emotional welbeing of the cats and the owners. Desexed cats are more relaxed, less agressive than entire cats. Male and often female entire cats will spray urine inside and out - the strain that puts on owners is immense. So yes, I do think it is irresponsible to not desex a cat and yes, I am perfectly at ease with myself for berating anyone who does not intend to register themselves with proper organisations as a cat breeder but does not desex.
@Decbabe85 As for you I can't even say you're an ignorant fool, ignorant would imply you act due to a lack of knowledge. But if your erroneous claim that you work in a vets is indeed correct, I'm happy to strike "ignorant" and replace it with "absolute", because you would know all this and yet still advocate against desexing. You absolute fool.
Respond to this video... Also as for "professional" conduct on youtube...are you serious lmao do you know where you are?? "Professional Conduct" and "you tube" are practically oxymoron's...
@Decbabe85 Here's one of your so-called "facts" of yours that I would be happy to dispell for you. 1) Pyometra is not common and only affects dogs. Absolute crap. 1 in 4 undesexed female cats have developed pyometra. Treatment for closed pyometra has a 20-40% success rate without surgery. If left untreated, the toxins will kill the cat. But hey, you work in a vets, you would know this. Further, cats that have been spayed after her first heat cycle is also at risk of infection of the "stub".
Irresponsible to NOT have your cat spayed?? I'm not against it, but lets not kid ourselves taking your pet to the vet to have her uterus removed isn't what I would call a "Natural" part of life for cats lmfao! BTW I don't see you running to the dr. to have your Uterus, or balls removed just so you don't go into heat lol
@Decbabe85 If I had a valid reason to have my uterus removed I would....but I agree. It's only irresponsible if you're going to let them outside and roaming free. If it's a house kitty like mine; there's really no point as long as you're careful. it's just easier because one they're fixed...they strop that annoying meowing all night long thing. and it sounds so PITIFUL! I felt so bad for my friends cat when it went though heat..she was crying all night and day.
@AldithIcewound- I hear ya on that--I'm not totally against it because it does look uncomfortable for them going through heat--but that is what they do, and have been doing for yrs isn't it? Now the funny thing I mentioned before was that quite a few ppl have come to or called my job baffled as to why they still go through heat/spray after surgery, now that confuses me too! and kinda ticks me off that this cat had surgery and nothing really changed lol
@Decbabe85 If i was in your position I would be so pissed. XD or if I was the owner of a cat like that. I get enough from my always hungry and always complaining one already. I have her on diet food for indoor cats. She is STILL gaining weight! ...and she won't cuddle. D: if I ignore her will she be more cuddly?
@AldithIcewound still gaining weight?? lol I know they have a special diet food for cats and dogs--"hills brand special diet", it's pretty safe and reputable, `kinda pricey sometimes though :( cats are pretty moody but if she's not acting herself, and continuing to gain weight you should probably bring her to vet

@Jakaldog So, anyone who fails to get a pet cat spayed, and allows them to enter heat, even once, is "irresponsible"? Imagine everyone adhered to that viewpoint with as much religious fervor as you do. The cat population would be wiped out within a generation. If there's going to be kittens SOMEWHERE, there's going to have to be a cat going into heat occassionally, and much of the time, because their human caretakers allowed them to. It's only irresponsible when you don't actually WANT kittens.
@Jakaldog You really shouldn't spout things off when you don't know enough on the subject. A cat can go into heat as early as four months old by which time a lot of vets consider too young for the operation. Most cat owners get them spayed after first heat ends. For my cat it was at 10 months old.

with our cat before we got her spayed she would go into heat around every fortnight, and would last about 2 - 3 days, the only ways to stop them going into heat is either getting the cat spayed or let it mate
@JPHJ14 lol, yeah, when my cat was, I was woken up like 6 times a night at least and I'd end up yelling like "shut UP!" then of course you get another meow >.<

Oh and I work for a vet--and cats can still go into heat after being spayed/altered....dumb ass's..
Decbabe85 1 year ago
@Decbabe85 If you work for a vet (which I seriously doubt), you would know that what you're saying is not endorsed by the average vet. Cats that are not desexed but then not mated are at risk of serious illnesses including pyometra, a serious and sometimes deadly infection of the uterus, where the entire uterus fills with puss. Or male cats at greater risk of prostate infections or cancer if not neutered. I also doubt a vet professional would conduct themselves by calling people "dumb ass"
nupthatisit 1 year ago
@nupthatisit actually yes I do work at a vet--but are you really okay with berating people for not having a cat altered or spayed. like I said regardless of health issues you described--which iv'e heard mostly associated with dogs then cats?? there at "risk" for these issues, which doesn't necessarily mean they will definitely have them one day..I know quite a few people who have older pets that have not been spayed/altered whatever...and have yet to have this serious illness/infection
Decbabe85 1 year ago
@Decbabe85 I will berate people who claim to professions but bely that profession with ridiculously irresponsible behaviour. And I will also berate those professionals who would give such blatantly irresponsible viewpoints stating that keeping unaltered cats is okay, when you would know the benefits of desexing far outweigh the negatives. The risks that you so conveniently placed in inverted commas are more common than you imply and you know it (if indeed you do work at a vets) cont.
nupthatisit 1 year ago
@nupthatisit LMAO-- 1) I have to honestly say that I did not read any of your 5 long ass posts--because it's a waste of my valuable time :) 2) you seem like an ABSOLUTE psychopath for leaving this many messages all because you don't like my opinion 3) If you had actually read my FIRST post I NEVER said i DON'T AGREE WITH HAVING CATS SPAYED OR ALTERED i stated that it's not a natural part of their life...
Decbabe85 1 year ago
@Decbabe85 I bring back ignorance
nupthatisit 1 year ago
, my main point for stating that I work in a vet was to explain that I have seen cases in which even AFTER surgery they can still go into heat and spray----you my friend have probably found all of your facts on the internet lol...oh yeah and you seem like a HUGE asshole, have a nice day :)
Decbabe85 1 year ago
@Decbabe85 Futhermore this is no doubt the social impact of desexing as opposed to health. If you work in a vets (You may gather by now that I doubt this claim) you would be aware of what one female cat and her offspring can have the potential to produce - something like 40,000 cats in a span of only a few short years. How many cats do you think are feral in your country at the moment? How many cats are abandoned or surrendered? How many of those cats are ultimately euthanised? cont.
nupthatisit 1 year ago
@Decbabe85 The third aspect is the social and emotional welbeing of the cats and the owners. Desexed cats are more relaxed, less agressive than entire cats. Male and often female entire cats will spray urine inside and out - the strain that puts on owners is immense. So yes, I do think it is irresponsible to not desex a cat and yes, I am perfectly at ease with myself for berating anyone who does not intend to register themselves with proper organisations as a cat breeder but does not desex.
nupthatisit 1 year ago
@Decbabe85 As for you I can't even say you're an ignorant fool, ignorant would imply you act due to a lack of knowledge. But if your erroneous claim that you work in a vets is indeed correct, I'm happy to strike "ignorant" and replace it with "absolute", because you would know all this and yet still advocate against desexing. You absolute fool.
nupthatisit 1 year ago
Respond to this video... Also as for "professional" conduct on youtube...are you serious lmao do you know where you are?? "Professional Conduct" and "you tube" are practically oxymoron's...
Decbabe85 1 year ago
@Decbabe85 Here's one of your so-called "facts" of yours that I would be happy to dispell for you. 1) Pyometra is not common and only affects dogs. Absolute crap. 1 in 4 undesexed female cats have developed pyometra. Treatment for closed pyometra has a 20-40% success rate without surgery. If left untreated, the toxins will kill the cat. But hey, you work in a vets, you would know this. Further, cats that have been spayed after her first heat cycle is also at risk of infection of the "stub".
nupthatisit 1 year ago
Irresponsible to NOT have your cat spayed?? I'm not against it, but lets not kid ourselves taking your pet to the vet to have her uterus removed isn't what I would call a "Natural" part of life for cats lmfao! BTW I don't see you running to the dr. to have your Uterus, or balls removed just so you don't go into heat lol
Decbabe85 1 year ago
@Decbabe85 If I had a valid reason to have my uterus removed I would....but I agree. It's only irresponsible if you're going to let them outside and roaming free. If it's a house kitty like mine; there's really no point as long as you're careful. it's just easier because one they're fixed...they strop that annoying meowing all night long thing. and it sounds so PITIFUL! I felt so bad for my friends cat when it went though heat..she was crying all night and day.
AldithIcewound 1 year ago
@AldithIcewound- I hear ya on that--I'm not totally against it because it does look uncomfortable for them going through heat--but that is what they do, and have been doing for yrs isn't it? Now the funny thing I mentioned before was that quite a few ppl have come to or called my job baffled as to why they still go through heat/spray after surgery, now that confuses me too! and kinda ticks me off that this cat had surgery and nothing really changed lol
Decbabe85 1 year ago
@Decbabe85 If i was in your position I would be so pissed. XD or if I was the owner of a cat like that. I get enough from my always hungry and always complaining one already. I have her on diet food for indoor cats. She is STILL gaining weight! ...and she won't cuddle. D: if I ignore her will she be more cuddly?
AldithIcewound 1 year ago
@AldithIcewound still gaining weight?? lol I know they have a special diet food for cats and dogs--"hills brand special diet", it's pretty safe and reputable, `kinda pricey sometimes though :( cats are pretty moody but if she's not acting herself, and continuing to gain weight you should probably bring her to vet
Decbabe85 1 year ago
@AldithIcewound if its in heat pick her up and pet her she will be cuddly then thats all i know as my 11 month old cat is in heat

I seriously hope you got her spayed. It's not cute... just irresponsible.
Jakaldog 1 year ago
@Jakaldog So, anyone who fails to get a pet cat spayed, and allows them to enter heat, even once, is "irresponsible"? Imagine everyone adhered to that viewpoint with as much religious fervor as you do. The cat population would be wiped out within a generation. If there's going to be kittens SOMEWHERE, there's going to have to be a cat going into heat occassionally, and much of the time, because their human caretakers allowed them to. It's only irresponsible when you don't actually WANT kittens.
Lurnick 1 year ago 2
@Jakaldog It's only irresponsible if you let her have kittens that you don't want. Ignorant cat loving fools always say that crap!
Gibix 1 year ago 17
@Jakaldog You really shouldn't spout things off when you don't know enough on the subject. A cat can go into heat as early as four months old by which time a lot of vets consider too young for the operation. Most cat owners get them spayed after first heat ends. For my cat it was at 10 months old.

how long does this heat thing last?
nayeliob 2 years ago
with our cat before we got her spayed she would go into heat around every fortnight, and would last about 2 - 3 days, the only ways to stop them going into heat is either getting the cat spayed or let it mate
lugwalder 2 years ago
@nayeliob 5 months.
