I sure would hate to discourage this guy. But, read below, everybody agrees that the performance falls far short of the hype. Part of it is his recording and equipment technique and inadequacies. In addition to the long list of great acoustic artists below may I recommend seeing Mysti Mayhem? Especially Ms. Naholnik (her real name) has mastered the art of recording her art.

I have also seen people with very modest equipment who have cut better videos, notably bartotheref.

Those bends aren't so fantastic when you consider the fact that you don't have to use traditional acoustic strings on an acoustic guitar. In fact, you could set up an acoustic to play like a Les Paul and then proceed to learn to play that stuff. I think the guy's good, but it's not so amazing just because it's an acoustic guitar.

it was alright. it was more a display of his chops than anything. I personally prefer solos that have a little more of a melody to them, just rapid fire notes makes it feel like their just notes being thrown at me after a good 15 seconds of it.

i have one slight disagreeance to this, on most electrics you have a bit more access to the neck, it is a bit easier to play the high stuff, of course in the video his acoustic has a cutout in the body which makes your oppinion completely accurate on this particular instance, i will say some electrics do have better action but its all the player not the instrument. hand a virtuoso a shitty guitar and they will still shread on it.

also if you listen the acoustic on this is pre-amped or mic-ed

As for the distortion a compressor is needed before the overdrive otherwise you get A LOT OF FEEDBACK from the sound hole (which might actually be a good thing for some people, but not for me)
