I'm running it in Episode Two here, but you can run it in Half-Life 2, Episode One, Episode Two, whatever. You have to download the map first though, see the link in the description.

This will also work for GMOD, it just spawns zombies from other entrances of roads.

But be warnings, There are antlions working with zombies as they dont usually kill them by charging straight at them.

You need to use your Add-On weapons stronger than the Default HL2 Weapons.

There is a place where you're safe.

Stack up items behind the blue container too climb up. You're safe inside it and on top of it.

Actually...

The semi-truck that's crashed into the arches, you can climb up on that to get onto the top of the arches. From there, you can jump to the top of the center dividers, giving you a commanding view of most of the map. You can drag supplies up from below with the gravity gun if you have that.

It is pretty easy if you're paying attention, but the things to remember are these: There are no health pickups, and it never ends. This means that losing 20 or so HP to  a surprise headcrab attack is disastruous, and that all it takes is a laspe of concentration at the wrong time to get you penned in by a horde, beyond help (unless you have explosives). :P

Yep, this was recorded in EP2, not Gmod. You can play this map in Gmod, but I don't recommend it, Gmod's modifications to the UI, weapons and physics screw the gameplay up in a lot of subtle ways (like last time I played it, the shotgun's damage was nerfed beyond recognition), it's suitable for construction, but not combat.
