Hence as a matter of fact Leipold is allowed again to call himself "winner of the olympic final 2000" with all rights on his side. There has been no honest revision after the first sports trial verdict and since wrestling doesn't have a huge fanbase in the world, there was no public interest in digging deeper to find the truth. Unfortunately, there's only one good article about it by acclaimed German...

Alexander gave a urine sample of 50 ml according to the records. The lab received a sample supposed to be Alexander's that consisted of 100 ml.

Although Alexander and his lawyers had requested this sample to be stored for further testing (DNA!), it was destroyed even before the regular storage time of 90 days was up.

It was never proven that the urine sample in question was actually Alexander's.

That was a terrible match. Im a wrestler for my high school. There are always those matches from that one kid in the tournament that makes you go "wow". I like the matches where the guys have to use their brain to strategically beat their opponent. In the olympics the matches dont entertain me that much cause both guys are so good and its the little mistakes that decide the winner.

Anyway... good for Slay, I'm glad they stripped the medal from the guy on steroids.
