Jeep Wrangler 0-50mph Stock vs. Superchips vs. RIPP GEN2 Supercharger

i have a 2011 unlimited , air filter, tb spacer and synthetic fluids. i will be swapping out my stockers for 33s in the next couple weeks, do recommend the tuner?? thanks for the help

@courts90 Even stock a tuner will give you added power but the big perks are when you change gears or tires sizes to correct speedo issues and on auto-trans it helps adjust the shift points too. I would get one. I just bought a 2012 two-door and I'm planning on getting a tuner as soon as I can.

@NEWEREJK well im running 3.73's , i think im alright with 33s, its a good balance for what i need. i heard it adds some power, ( with you 2secs over stock ) but overall driveability is improved and my auto is more responsive. thanks for the quick reply and post your 2012 when you get some mods on it!

@courts90 Sure thing. Every mod will be a new episode but it will be a slow start until i start getting some parts in.

@courts90 I am just starting the process of finding out. Engine wise the vendors I have spoken to do not have their 2012 product yet. But I'm guessing items like bumpers and body parts are mostly the same as prior years. K&N has a filter available but currently no intake.

@TheImakrazy Most of the programmers are removable once the Jeep is tuned. Just tune it then leave the tuner at home. Or lock it in your glove-box if youe house is unsafe. Either way.

Wow, I knew superchargers make a big difference but that was drastic. When you add price and lbs difference between charger and V8, the supercharger wins hands down for a JK.

I believe both the Superchips and Diablo tunner can clear codes but I have not cleared any myself. I can say that adjusting the speedo for tire size puts the fun back into driving your jeep. No joke.

Hi, i have a 2008 automatic unlimited sahara jeep, im running 5.13 gears, 37x14 tires, i live in the coast and i was told that the superchargers work great in high places but they don´t make any difference at the sea level.

Dude are you sure you're getting 11.66 on superchip? If so, are you using performance 91? I have automatic 09 rubicon unlimited with 5.38, superchip, k&n drop in filter, and mickeys 35s and I do 10.13 0-60. Can you still use the SC and superchip on daily driving?

@RM545324 I based my timing off of the time counter for each video. This helps show a direct relation between these three setups but may very from your personal time for many reasons. I have 5.13, The setting were not for 91, weight? and cali gas sucks, etc. Hopefully its mainly just because you have a great jeep.

I use the SC for daily driving along with the diable tunner. I no longer have the superchips. Are you sure you have 5.38? not 4.38?

@ssoonnaa True a Hemi is an option and adds a little more power than the Supercharger but not much. Along with that it adds more # lbs. and the price tag is $20,000 vs. only $4,000. Based on that I decided to go this route.

Have you been in the mud yet with the supercharger I know after I'm in the mud my motor is a mess how is that on the charger?

@sekiride No, regretfully it hasn't even seen the dirt yet but I am headed out to Moad, UT Thursday and I plan on capturing the whole trip on video. I'll give all of you guy as much feedback as I can and how messy things do or do not get.

Nice jeep how much power you making with the supercharger

@svt89 Stock dyno shows it to be 130hp at the rear wheels and with the supercharger you end up with 240hp or so at the rear wheels.
