He used to be my doctor...I don't know that he is selling false hope. I'm not sure he has a handle on everyone's fatigue or pain, but he put me on the right path, anyway. The reason I left him was because I really hoped to get off all the meds, and that was not his philosophy at all. Not sure now what to think...it's not been possible, and the changes that diet and exercise make to these diseases is long, long term. There is no quick fix, and it's hard to know how long recovery can take.
Watch out, he is selling false hope. At the time I got sick, I did not drink sodas, alcohol or coffee. I ate good food and exercised outdoors. I was happy, healthy and prospering. I had endured a trauma 10 years earlier. In 30 years of FM/CFS, I’ve done support work with thousands of people (mostly women). None are recovered. This is an EVIL, life-destroying and INVISIBLE illness! It is too late for me, but Not2’s post is right—this involves millions of wonderful people! Please listen.
@surlytempleblues I am sorry that you did not experience any results using nutrition. I had a remarkable recovery with an aggressive nutrition protocol, which got me up and going after being literally bedridden for 6 consecutive months. Don't give up.
The XMRV retrovirus virus has now been suspected to cause Fibromyalgia and CFS (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome) so while these things this individual is suggesting can HELP, this is FAR from the solution. AIDS is a "retrovirus" and cannot just be treated by eating healthy. Educate yourselves!
I am a recovered fibromyalgic who left the care of the medical profession to discover the cause and cure of this horrific condition without drugs, and am living proof you can cure this and take back your life. Symptoms are mistaken for the cause and treatments that help do not cure. Please, do not be discouraged by failed hope and keep going!!!
