yeah ill admit, Geri was the only spice girl who actually really couldn't sing at all. However, she still contributed ALOT to the group, and i think without her they wouldn't have been as successful as they were...she was the REAL driving force behind the band and invented their group name as well as the whole "girl power" thing etc. So the fact she can't sing is irrelevant since alot of their success is down to her, hence the reason why the spice girls began to flop once she had left!

i dont agree with you. a vocal group is about matching voices. i think has a very personal low-pitched voice. low-pitched voices are also needed unless you want the spice girls to sound like a group of meowing cats... xD

i think geri is very good at singing cabaret balads for example. she has a very sexy and personal voice.

Plus she added excellente quality sense, she was the brain behind the spice music formula, she always gave that to the girls, that's also why she didn't agree with the r&b change for the group

@MrNottingham1989 uh they had a number one hit with Goodbye and Holler after Geri left, they could've stayed succesful if they wanted it, they just didn't have the drive anymore but they didn't really need her at all. You see the Christmas in Spiceworld tour and it's a flawless show, their best and there's no Geri.

eww the Christmas in Spiceworld show is fucking hideous they all look a mess, Mel C looks like a dyke and Victoria looks extremely anorexic + Mel C clearly wasn't into it at all and was so over the Spice Girls. Vocally it sounds all over the place too.

Oh and Goodbye sold on the back of Geri leaving as it was about her, Holler was a number 1 but its sales were shit. You only have to look at sales of the third Spice Girls album the only without Geri to see how much she was missed by the fans.

Geri is amazing, she is funny, talented, gorgeous, and of course she can sing.

there are some live performances of hers on youtube, and she is quite good actually.

this one was at her beginning, and she did not feel very comfortable singing live, and I do understand, with so many people slating her off like you guys!!! so it is easier not to give anybody a chance and just lipsynch, for the sake of promoting her music only. Geri rule!

as a former spice girls fan its weird to look back and realise geri cant sing at all! I guess when you are a kid you dont realise. I don't think her solo career was a success because she was a good singer, i think she just rode of the back of the remaining spice girl fans.

I always knew she couldn't sing, but I loved the group as a whole. Mel C is really the one with an AMAZING voice. I can't get enough of her voice. Geri had a lot of attitude and personality which she brought to the group though. :-)

How wierd, she seems to be singing live during the first half of the song, but then you can clearly see she's not, and again, during the last verses it seems live!

I love Geri so much and I think she had great solo songs. But the fact that she never performed anything live was very annoying, since she was clearly capable of singing!

Yeah i noticed that- when it got to the hard part "sometimes..i don't recognise etc.." cause its got a high note at the end however- at the very end with the ad libs i think she's singing live. god knows!
