Messed up my back pinched nerve. Took out some disc. Totally jacked my posture. Always had a dull pain in my back sitting standing didnt matter. Started lifting and doing dead and squats with legit weight. Back is good now doc. Said it was because I made my back stronger.

Legpress is an awesome exercise. Ever tried weight-pyramiding down on it? Starting max weight, do ya reps, take of two plates, repeat,. All the way down to one plate. Wrt calves. What 'problem'? Just typical (built) taller guys calves. If you're (way) below 5ft8, it's way easier to build them up. The larger the bones, the more time it takes. Besides, the calves are a very strange musclegroup. They 'designed' to take a beating on a daily basis. Give them a lil rest and they're good to go again.

You have age on your side, which brings along a whole slew of benefits. But you still couldn't do nine plates on each side. Eight, but not nine. That's a 90 pound difference. You can say they're only big because of nutrition, but that's where the work is done.
@Izzetmaster Bro, after doing 5 or 6 sets of squats, one of them being with 315, 8 plates is not all that bad. Leg press was their first exercise. I was beat from squats already. I could easily get 9 even 10 plates if it was my first exercise -_- and it's not like they're new at this. They've lifted for years and took a break. I've only done this for 12 months!

Legpress is an awesome exercise. Ever tried weight-pyramiding down on it? Starting max weight, do ya reps, take of two plates, repeat,. All the way down to one plate. Wrt calves. What 'problem'? Just typical (built) taller guys calves. If you're (way) below 5ft8, it's way easier to build them up. The larger the bones, the more time it takes. Besides, the calves are a very strange musclegroup. They 'designed' to take a beating on a daily basis. Give them a lil rest and they're good to go again.

@trickyfeet17 Age doesn't matter. No one is on your side with this. They started working out like 3, almost 4 years ago. It's harder to build muscle as you age, and for them being in their late 30's, they look fantastic.
You have age on your side, which brings along a whole slew of benefits. But you still couldn't do nine plates on each side. Eight, but not nine. That's a 90 pound difference. You can say they're only big because of nutrition, but that's where the work is done.

@Izzetmaster Bro, after doing 5 or 6 sets of squats, one of them being with 315, 8 plates is not all that bad. Leg press was their first exercise. I was beat from squats already. I could easily get 9 even 10 plates if it was my first exercise -_- and it's not like they're new at this. They've lifted for years and took a break. I've only done this for 12 months!
