i was attacked yesterday by a hen harrier in the pines beside oka. I had a golf bal in my hand and maybe it thought i took and egg or some thing. I heard it coming 10 seconds before it swooped down in front of me than out of instinct i started to sprint as fast as i could towards the road outside the woods. it swooped back down from behind me and scratched my head with its feet or claws. i went into panic and ran even faster until i got to the road, went home and went to the hospital no stitches
I supposed so, but I never stayed more than 15 minutes, and never tried to find the nest itself. Also, the area was bordered by hiking path from which most videos were shot.
But it appears from the other videos you returned time and again to the site to video these birds at very close range, which should only be done with permission - even if it is beside a path the disturbance is intentional.
I really strongly suggest you think about removing these videos, no decent wild bird website would touch them with a barge pole, it's only Youtube who aren't aware of the problem here.
You also encourage other amateurs to recklessly film protected species at close quarters.
they lay their eggs on the ground, thats why she was so pissed

It's amazing to see the face straight on like that - I've been looking for a photo of face to see if they really look like an owl. Great video.

You were causing the bird distress by being to close to the nest but great shot
