  • ....wait a minute..... =.= how does a bike qualify as a TOY?

  • Man oh Man, what a flippin treat !!! Huge smile here !!! thanks for the trip back in time... Couldn't help going, had that, had that, didnt have that, had that.. lol...

  • Also 'Starbird' 'Simon' 'Six million dollar man' 'Luger pistol and Walther p38' 'Star Wars' and 'Big Trak'.

  • GI Joe - nowadays toy makers could care less about articulation. Today's action figures suck. Lucky I was able to obtain some re-issued Joe's. My sons favorite toys right now.

  • Best toy of the 70's? Two words - Big Trak.

  • 1:01 - I remember having one of those! Very cool memories.

  • thank's to god, because I not was child, on 1970'

  • Anyone with the Verti Bird helicopter care to comment about its performance? One of my friends had one & he had a hard time getting it to fly.

  • @Petemonster62 I had one and it worked great.

  • Great jon..what about the 6 million dollar man, tin can alley, star trek action figures and jarts? How about the frito bandito and freakies? Simon says? Coleco games? And all those novelty gags, like the exploding cigarette trick and the dog who smoked? Hand buzzers...I loved the video

  • I always asked my dad what he played with for toys , he tells me he ran away when he was 12 , and went fromg gang to gang up untill the late 80's. No toys for him.

  • TROLOLOLOLOLOLO

  • Super Toe

  • awesome. I had the vertibird, GI Joe, the toy gun that shot plastic discs and of course the water pistols.

  • Wow,for a moment there I was 11 years old again! Incredible flood of memories.

  • Mr. Snowcone at 1:16 . Wow ! It's been a long time since I've seen this . Hot summer days = Mr. Snowcone. Good memories.

  • I remember them rockets at 25..Used to put caps in the top and throw them to land head down to go bang...Such simple but great fun times back then. A big kid from UK London..

  • thanks for video brings back very good memorys

  • In electric football all the players did were dance together in circles.

  • I had a bunch of GI Joes. Had the electric football game.

  • I remember the disk guns and the plastic pellet hand guns hurt.

  • the gun that shot the plastic disks and the water rocket were great. The football games and the snowcone machines were always a joke.

  • Electric Football! We had that and no one could ever figure out what you were supposed to do besides set up the players, turn the damn thing on and watch the players make like square dancers. The water pressure rocket was great though! The Star Trek guns were cool but they didn't hurt the way your little sister complained they did when you shot her. The click-clack balls were also fun and like other toys were rumored to have been "outlawed" because they were so dangerous.

  • Shit, i must have been a spoilt child cause i has loads of them toys.

  • Wait! A consumer grade cannon?

Dear Santa.....A time machine so I can go back and get one.

  • Perfect song choice :)

  • the mattel change/time machine....HOTPLATE!.....i had 1 but survived to tell..............thanks for the trip back

  • i remember that super bowl game, i think my brother had it i remember playing with it.

  • pity we cant go back to that time going to cost mums and dads a fortune trying to please them now media has a lot to answer to

  • Why im i watching this??

  • I grew up on the 1960s , i think the Star Trek gun at :31 was banned , because Kids sharpened the plastic shots and they were like shootng razor blades. What I would have done for that green 3 speed bike. The clackers at :28 were banned because of injuries from kids getting whacked by them and shattering. , :44 when Evil Knievel was popular numerous kids were hospitalized with in injuries from jumping bicycles. I survived the 1960s with out being maimed by any of my toys.

  • Does anyone know the name of the water rocket toy at 1:45? I had one and lost the rocket on the very first launch.

  • Oh my! That disc firing gun brings back memories! I'd forgotten all about that until I recognised those discs! Whatever happened to all my old toys? Ah yes! Parents and their secret tidy-ups! Thanks mum and dad for throwing away my childhood memories.

  • Dude yr the man!! You just brought back so many long lost memories of a simpler time when the only important decisions I had to make were what cereal to eat and how many toys I could play with in one day: Count Chocula or Frankenberry and ALL MY TOYS!!:):)

  • Dang, I hate this song.

  • Dude, those little plastic horses and men were from the 60,s LOL!!

  • and do you ever have a "play party" ??

Vertibird !! Clackers !! SSP ! the clackers really bring back the pain of childhood! how many people smashed their fingers with those things ?

  • Wow. Thank You!

I had most of those. But I couldn't leave anything alone.....wish I had them now.

  • No Megos? Hmmmmm.

  • did any one else notice dr evil. :O copyright law

  • Clackers=OW!

  • Rock em sock em robots?

  • @sabbath178 thats when kids knew toys

  • Where are the Mattel Wizzzers spinning tops..and The Mattel Hot Wheel Sizzlers in this video .? "Or you kidding!? Without them 2 The vides not complete .

  • Vertibird. I had one of those.

  • 1:45 those were the best except you would always lose them in somebodys backyard, and have to sneak over to get it..

  • Major Matt Mason, Lawn Darts, Johnny Eagle rifles, Radar Search, Nerf Football, U-Fly-It, GI Joe, Electric Football, plastic army men, electric race car tracks, Honda CT Trail 70s, Hot Wheels and Matchbox cars (loved those "superfast" models). What fun times. I just wish we would have had real BMX bikes back then. It was tough trying to keep our stripped down street bikes in one piece!

  • @zeek971 Lawn Darts! those were great to catch!

  • @bccritters ..Yes, In the head!!

  • anybody remember the green machin?

  • The gun! Wow! I remember those! I loved that thing! But my wife just told me they still make them - is that true? OH man! And the water rocket! Awesome!!!

  • Damn it! I want to be 8 again.... summer... friends hollering at me outside to hurry up while mom fills my water gun telling me, "Now you really should take a break some time today, it's nearly 3:00pm and you haven't stopped for lunch yet" ... "Can't now mom! byeeeee" ... and I was off, having the kind of simple fun that makes you believe there is no tomorrow.... just today.

  • I had forgotten that water rocket seen a 1:46, I had one of those. It worked exactly one time. I shot it in the air, it came down on the hard dirt drive way and the nose of the rocket cracked, it never worked again :(

  • Clackers!!!! SSP's!!!

  • Wow, the memories of those times. I wish I could go back and be a kid again, but in those times, not these days. We had so much fun back then. Thanks for posting this.

  • Great video, brings back memories !

  • hells yeah, i had about half of those! can't believe they had the "strange change", i loved that one. didn't see a few faves... shrunken heads kit, incredible edibles, spudsy, or non-GI joe action figures like action jackson and steve austin. also, some of the old board games would have been cool... remember which witch?

  • Comment removed

  • Cool toys. I just found 1 of my favorite toys I had as a kid on ebay. A toy squeeky dog I remember when I got the toy too, it was the christmas when I was 4yrs old and I sneeked down in the middle of the night to grab the first toy I saw and put him in my bed and slept with him ever since. I kept that toy till I was in my 20's then he got lost. :( But I found 1 just like him on ebay. :D

  • love it

  • If I knew then what I knew now I would of saved all my old toys

  • @Poco1997 Yeah I saved 1 of my favorites I got at 4yrs old till I was in my 20's then he got lost when I moved, and since it was made like in the 50's I thought I would never find one like it again, but I just found one like it on ebay. :D. It was made in the 50's but I got him in the 70's.

  • pretty cool

  • Whoa...flashback city. 0:31 I hadn't thought about my disc gun in forever. Thanks for stirring up memories of a happy time.

(Anyone remember "Blazin' SST" cars? They were muscle cars that had a plastic zip line that you ran through the car and pulled out quickly. The car would spark on the bottom and tear off like the bat out of hell. Fun toy.)

  • @FiendsInRedSatin1 the disk gun and the evel knievel...we used to torment the cats and dog to death.....God I miss those Christmas mornings.LOL

  • @spaddad I miss those X-mas mornings too.

  • Bring back the 70's!!!!!

  • haha, i didnt see the pet rock,..it was a fad in the 70s , my mom bought a pet rock throwback on ebay and it farts sometimes

  • Cool, very cool. Nice to remember the toys I grew up with.

  • What! no Major Matt Mason? A collection isn't complete without...

  • @AlembicVapor Technically triple M was a 1960's (introduced in 1966) toy that carried over into the 70's but I agree he was awesome. And Evel Knievel was the best.

  • I had the original Vertibird! lots of fun but it really consumed battery power.A schoolmate had one of those electric football sets; When we played it,the figures looked like they were "squaredancing"rather than running plays! I couldent stop laughing !!

  • I remember the football game And that sno cone maker and the bicycle. Pretty good toys.

  • I'm looking for the hot wheels or matchbox launching rifle, you loaded the cars into a shell, loaded it into the gun, then it had a bolt action, laid on the floor and shot the car out. Anyone remember those? I can't remember the name of them, but they were red and white.

  • Remember when it was ok for kids to run around outside with toy guns?

  • Cool vid. I like the Gi Joes ! They definitely were huge sellers in the 1970's, no doubt. I have such great memories even now as a 40 year old adult. So much so, that i got back into collecting them again ! Nice job.

  • I had the vertibird helicopter game. All my friend where jaloes.

  • all your friends are J LO? damn that's pretty cool

I'm way more jealous of you now

  • Wow, thanks for those memories. I had about 75% of those.

  • Clackers at 0:29. I think they stopped making these because kids kept getting hit on the head and face.

  • @TankBanana I believe they were recalled because they were exploding and causing horrible eye injuries.

  • yes and no..they were actually outlawed because in inner citiy schools they were used as weapons.

  • Cool video, only the car at 0:09 wasn't a toy but an Avon collectable aftershave bottle.

  • i LOVE those classic plastic green soldiers, i have hundreds of them still and play with them.

  • cool video man, I have that exact same Godzilla toy pictured at 0:58. man what cool old toys those are, I even have several of the adventure team figures as well.

  • what is the name of the toy after the cap rockets and where can you get it?

  • ka bangers

  • Oh one more thing - Thanks for the shot of the Strange Change Machine. I had one of those also. Sorry but that was in the 60's as well. Cheers

  • I had the Strange Change machine in the 60's as well. I also have one now in my collection which is also featured here on youtube. The American plastic bricks are also from the 60's (at least the version seen here). I love seeing these old toys and there are some that are absolutely 70's like the Evel Knievel cycle and the Adventure team G.I. Joe's.

  • Wow! Wow! Wow! - I had THAT EXACT Motorific Boat back in 1968. If I didn't see it here - I would have completely forgotten about it. Now it's clear as day - but it was a 60's toy BTW. Thank you.

  • What an honor to write the first comment. First of all thanks for posting this. Brings me back to some wonderfull memories.I forgot about those cap rockets, they were so cool, and very popular at the time. They were usually sold right next to the parachute man and the vampire teeth. The disk gun was another great classic.
