@eoink2 SRRY BUT a guitar isnt a guitar.... yes they all make music but lets say u r using like a fender starcaster thats like 100 bucks from target or u go and buy a vintage les paul.. the les paul will sound soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much better
@jwnjf you are soooooo snobish. above certain level, all guitars are good. they do not sound better or worse, they sound different. and yes, a 500 bucks guitar can be my choice over a 3000 dollar gibson if I like the sound, if I like the way it feels, and who the fuck do you think you are to tell me, that its crap.
anyway, music comes from the musician, not the instrument, a good player can blow your mind with a relatively cheap guitar, while no gibson will make me a star.
@jwnjf what do you play and how long have you played it....what did you start on... you were in the same position as him at one time..... john lennon played epiphones until the day hhe died... eddie van halen started on a cheap guitar from a garage sal....your just being a smart ass
Lyon & Healy was founded in 1864 by George W. Lyon and Patrick J. Healy. “Washburn” was the middle name of George W. Lyon.
WIKI: Lyon & Healy started as a music publishing company and branched into instrument manufacture during the 1880s. Washburn was their flagship brand. They ceased making guitars in 1928 and sold the Washburn brand to the Tonk Brothers Company, who also owned the Regal brand. Tonk Brothers company ceased to exist in 1947. There is no relation to the originals since 1964.
What mistake? Washburn was around before the current company that is using the name. Lyon and Healy of Chicago (founded 1864) used to own the name but sold it to Regal around 1928, Regal used the name only 2 or 3 years before discontinuing it. The current company using the Washburn name wasn't formed until 1964 and has no claim to the great heritage that goes with it.
Looks like my girlfriend

@jwnjf I love how this starts. "a guitar isn't a guitar". That's a little confusing.

Wow, that instrument looks to be in very good condition. Kinda looks like the replicas Washburn started making.
Really impressive how good a condition that guitar is in!!

@hendrixkixas No, but there are music shops that are owned by big corporations. That's what I mean.
