  • From scratch? Tortillas grow on trees?

  • @niljapoli Ok, go and make corn tortillas from scratch. Fucking smart ass!

  • Really cheddar cheese is mexican? really?

  • WHERES THE BEEF!

  • Im hungry!!!

  • I just think I'll buy a bag of nachos instead, and then do the same trick. Would probably save a gamers time for about 10 minuttes +.

  • Everybody has a different opinion on what types of nachos are ruling.

But we can all agree on this one point that the concept of the nachos is awesome and incredible !

  • IM HUNGRYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!

  • yummy looks tasty! i want natchos! :) thanks for helping dude! :)

  • GOOD IDEA to show this Nachos recipe. In Matehuala, State of San Luis Potosi, Mexico, (300 milles south Laredo TX) in 1957 at the "Las Palmas" Motel, they served this tipe of Nachos. The Cheff´s name was "Ignacio", Everybodie call him "Nacho" and believed then that this was his creation. (at that time nobodie was thinking about patenting this recipes) He was brought from Monterrey when the Motel opened. (from Louisiana´s Restaurant).

  • There is a little difference in the recipe. As most cheffs know, the tortillas that are left from the day before are cut in four pieces and deep fried in oil in big amounts and then drain them in a strainer, we call them "totopos" to serve them with guacamole or refried beens.

  • The cheddar cheese was made in México and we called it "queso amarillo" which was an american invention of course. The small difference in the recipe was that the jalapeño was put on the cheese before cooking the nachos in the oven and in long slices, if too long, making an "s" form on the cheese, and not in ring shape.

  • This was a fast snack because the tortillas were already fried and the oven at the kitchen was most of the day hot. The fried totopos were not so flat due to the amount of oil they used.

Many Americans used to stop at this Motel as a midway point in their way to Mexico City ant they used to ask allways for it as a favorite snack at the bar, the bowling or the swimming pool. It was served in a 14 inches round tray.

  • Now in most places in Mexico, the "nachos" young guys know are quite different. They put the fried totopos in a plastic bowl, then a big spoon of beans on them and finally an amount of liquid cheddar cheese and jalapeño slices and you need a plastic spoon to help you eat them. It is a completelly different look and taste. I would recommend people to try them the old way.

  • @mmkaylala

UMM its just to show you how to make them, you can make as many as you want, I'm pretty sure

  • @mmkaylala LOL

  • You could make this go a lot faster by dropping a ton of these in to DEEP fry, & then just fish em out with a spider/strainer. Pan-frying each nacho chip is just ridiculous. You could also do this in an oven for even browning, without burning. & you wouldn't waste time baby sitting a pan either. Let's get real. Freshly fried chips are the best, but let's be smart about it.....

  • @mmkaylala i know huh? but in the pan it was like 8

  • @mmkaylala

yeah but they're fancy n tasty anyways

  • they had microwaves in the 1940's?

  • @gr0wman420 its an oven

  • @gr0wman420

He used an oven not a microwave.......

  • @gr0wman420 that's really mean

  • @gr0wman420 he used a oven

  • @gr0wman420 he said oven mate!

ovens are more than thousend years old i dont mean ur multi comi oven...but the stone ones

  • @gr0wman420 Also did they have them in Mexico at the time.

  • @gr0wman420 no, they had paula deen

  • @gr0wman420 "we're gonna put that in the OVEN to melt the cheese"

    not microwave.

  • @buulMusic the ony point is to melt the cheese.... microwave does the same.

  • bet this guy can't run 100m...those nachos look great though

  • @moxbad - Who cares how far he can run? I don't look at videos of football players and go "bet this guy can't cook for squat", because it isn't relevant.

  • awsome, but id use grape seed oil to fry in, less fat and healthy

  • YESSSS!

I would never eat this in real life, but ohhhhhhh does it look good. I love some good bar food! haha :D

  • @teufelhexen your absolutely right, just about anyone serious about their athletisism will find it difficult to be a vegetarian and nearly impossible to be a veagan. However there is soy protein... besides, the sad truth is that the majority of ppl who eat chicken wings in america don't need them because they stopped getting exercise 35 years ago when they were allowed to get out of gym class. It wouldn't hurt them to eat some veggies instead.

  • He put the plate in the oven? o.O

  • look at 2:14

  • @walterij98 that's a "whatchu talking about, willis?" face :P

  • @teufelhexen - meat isn't even the best source of protein. i don't want involvement in this arguement, i just thought i'd point that out :)

  • It's a mighty good source of it though. And I'm not saying there are no other foods that have a high protein count. There are plenty of non meat foods that have lots of protein, I agree.

My point here, in response to GFC, is simply that people need protein intake. This idiot says we can get by without any protein intake whatsoever.

  • @katiepaintsthesky yea but whey is probably the best source of protein and that comes from milk which obviously comes from cows which are even more obviously animals

  • hahahahah!

  • you've obviously never took the time to learn the game of football.

  • yea, sorry for the language and mean comment, i just thought you were saying it from a vegans point of view, but technically nobody gave us the right to take away a life but what i believe is god did and plus humans are on the top of the food chain. but thats just my view, i respect yours, but i just wanted to apoligize for my rude comment.

  • Duh, Mexico... Texas was part of Mexico back in the old days.

  • those are totopos

  • Um... Dude, seriously? Nachos as they were originally made in Texas, not in Mexico.

  • These are good. But if you don't have the time, use store-bought large plain, low salt, corn tortilla chips. Put them on a non-stick cookie sheet, cover them with lots of pre-shredded extra sharp cheddar, (and Monterrey Jack), bake until the cheese melts, top with jalapeno slices, a sprinkle of crushed red pepper, a dash of medium hot sauce, and serve with salsa, sour cream, guacamole, and lots of cold beer. (20mins. - start to finish.)

  • dam that sounds good :D

  • @uchihajaime1 - Well, you know...? Bachelor cooking. BTW, if you add a 1/2 lbs. of browned ground beef, before the cheese, it's no longer a snack. It becomes dinner.

Next time I'll post how to make the 15min. Swedish Meatball Sub (Hero) Sandwich. *L*

Of course the most important rule of bachelor cooking is: If it's covered with cheese. It's good!

  • haha those are awesome!!!!!

  • NAACHHOOOO!!

  • that..is.....AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I Agree 100%

  • being 29 and going from 205 to 180 pounds in a year and packing on some but not a lot of muscle in the process, I think I'll be ok.

but thanks for your worry, it shows you care.

  • need to try that!

  • Mmmmmm.......

  • have you played football?

  • yes, and i think its alright, but i mean why people enjoy watching it

  • i think the reason why people like watching football is because it isnt boring to watch like baseball and its competitive and requires strategy plus the violence and the cheerleaders =P

  • yes he did, and thats the best kind of tortillas!

  • @proceo12

    i know, right?

  • NaChOs!!!

  • That looks good

  • we always make homemade tortillas and they are so good

  • kidney beans : up to 5% prot

cottage cheese : up to 12% prot

soy beans : app. 30-35% prot

    a steak : 20-40% prot

RDI is 50g prot. / day

    do the maths...

  • They're manly? O_o ha ha ha

  • You don't get diseases by eaing meat. It's all a matter of eating it in moderations. And varities of it..

  • Yes, humans are omnivores, but vegetarians don't all have a lack of protein. My sister has been a vegetarian for a while, and gets her protein from peanut butter, which gives an ample supply.

  • dude..

it's not the protein that is not consumed by vegs..

it's vitamin B12.. (and iron if i'm not mistaken)

u can only got those from meat..

    CMIIW

  • spinach is full of protein, that thing Popeye the sailor man always eats

  • I need to make those things :D

  • Agree man! +1

  • The point is tastiness, not how cheaply you can by them! Those look freakin' scrumptious.

And I'm going to have to majorly disagree with you on the "bad salesman" part -- I can't imagine a better person to tell you what to eat on a game day. Seriously!

  • yum!

  • ehhhh too much work, id rather jus buy em and eat em =]

  • i want some........

  • i want some !!!

  • thanks I'll try it :)

  • SIMPLE XD

  • looks good

  • Hold the Jalapenos just leave the cheese.

  • o.o I want some!

  • damn that makes my mouth water

  • This man is the kind of guy that brings life to the party. Wish I knew him IRL.
