Thankyou for putting my mind at rest. Myself and the ducks will be very relieved to know that it isn't cruel because ducks have no gag reflex. Knowing this we can ignore the cramped and inhumane farming methods, the fit to burst stomachs and the UNATURALLY swollen livers. I wonder in light of what you said why it is becoming more and more unpopular, why are countries banning it if it's so uncruel? hmmm it's a puzzler, after all as you say 'The ducks don't mind'

Countries ban it because a bunch of animal hugging liberals like you hired lobbyists and convinced people that it was bad. And to you it is bad. Not because of the ducks, but because to people like you eating meat in general is bad.

Have you ever actually seen foie gras ducks get force fed? They actually come right over for it. It doesn't cause them any discomfort at all.

And why is it getting less popular? Lotta people are broke right now, in case you didn't notice. Foie is expensive.
