How come the book of revelation describes over 10 years of things during the tribulation? (1,260 days for the 2 whitnesses, 1,260 days for the dragon and the pregnant woman blasphemying jesus. 1,260 for something ealse. That doesnt include the seals being broken ither.)

Notice God says this three times. The church claims tht their will be a 3 temple of the LORD built.

Look carefully at the vr in 9;27, the antecedent is the "people" and not the prince, (which properly translated is actually "ruler") the vrs is only pointing out the "people" who will come & fulfill the desolation to the city, which is confirmed in the Gospels.

The problem with futurists is that they claim Dan.9:27 is speaking about antichrist, when in fact the whole prophecy is about Jesus Christ. Every Protestant Reformer who wrote on the passage of Dan.9:27 sees the final "week" (7 years), as fulfilled in Jesus Christ. This is a completely Messianic prophecy and has NOTHING to do with the antichrist. There are plenty of other prophecies that tell us of the antichrist, but Dan.9:27 is NOT one of them.

You are not quoting from the book of Revelation. You are quoting from 2Thes.2:4, and Paul is NOT speaking of the literal "temple" in 2Thes.2:4. Neither is John speaking of a literal "temple" in Rev.11:1,2. Both apostles are speaking of the "temple" of believers. Classic dispensational, 'gap theory' fallacy. The problem is, futurists begin the 490 yrs. from the wrong date. They begin from 444 B.C.(Artaxerxes' 2nd decree). Just add 483 yrs.(69 wks) to that and you come to 39/40 A.D., this is way too late for the crucifixion. Begin the 490 yrs. at the correct decree from Artaxerxes (Ezr.7) and add 483 yrs and you will come to the exact time of the 'annointing of Messiah'(his baptism). Jesus and the apostles fulfill the last wk. of Dan.9:24-27. Simple.

I follow you logic, but you are assuming Daniel is referring to a physical nation as opposed to a spiritual nation. After all, think about it, the battle between God and Satan is NOT a physical war. It is a spiritual war.

Richard, please re-assess your view of the 70 weeks of Daniel. There is absolutely no 'gap' intimated in Scripture between the 69th and 70th weeks. If the 70th week does not follow directly after the 69th week then, logically, it cannot be called the '70th week'. The 70 full weeks must run consecutively, and I believe they do. No, the Ezekiel Temple appears to be the Millennial Temple. But, based on Revelation 11:1-2 "Go and measure the temple of God and the altar, and count the worshipers there. But exclude the outer court; do not measure it, because it has been given to the Gentiles. They will trample on the holy city for 42 months.

Daniel 9 is perhaps my favorite as it is the verse which leapt off the page and declared that it MUST be of divine inspiration. Thanks for taking t he time to post this. There are some wise words contained in it. I do, however, disagree with one aspect. Although I agree that the Anti-Messiah will most likely be a Muslim, he will raise out of modern day Turkey.
