Inviting Friends to Windows Live

320,000 hotmail accounts hacked. Mine was also hacked on 7/30/10. They changed my password, my secret question and then deleted my alternate email address which is the only way to get your password reset.

Then the scammers send emails to everyone in your contact list which says that you are overseas and need $2,000 dollars sent to you immediately.

The Windows Live Solution Team says they are working on it after they failed to recognize for months that the account passwords were hacked.

Shame.

well i dont have any friends that have windows live that includes facebook myspace and so for. ok the problem is how do i find friend i dont know and would like to meet on windows live? very good video for others that dont knw what there doing and for others who have friends that have windows live. I will not invite them because they dont have a head set. im looking forwards to meeting new people across the world. how do i fnd friends?the email add is not what im looking for.

i used ubuntu for about a month it isn't more user friendly than windows and i doubt its even more secure. Windows vista is extremely secure I haven't had any issues on it, and its a hell of a lot nicer looking. I still run ubuntu on vmware though to play around with.

PC gamers have a choice and it's NOT ubuntu. Most linux distros cannot be regarded as alternatives to OSes from Microsoft, simply because they are still weak when it comes to hardware support and gaming. Sure, one can argue that you don't need a PC to play games, and when work and photo editing is concerned, you could use any OS or even get a Mac with OSX for that, but at present, it isn't a viable permanent solution especially with these newer machines and hardware that come out. Try again.

Some recent experiences I've had with hardware working on Vista and Ubuntu.

First was a webcam, does not work at all on Vista no drivers, works on XP after installing driver. Ubuntu camera worked straight away no drivers needed.

Second two different models of USB 3G cellular broadband modems. While they work on Vista, setup is a complete pig, very slow to connect, and unreliable. Ubuntu, very easy setup, fast to connect and reliable, again no drivers needed.

BTW I don't play games. :)

You fall into the category of people who can justify the use of linux distros as permanent replacements for Windows OSes. i cannot argue with your personal experience.

I've found Ubuntu to be more secure for two reasons.

1) The need for the user to authenticate as Root by entering password, for any viruses or worms to pwn the system.

2) Widespread Linux viruses are non-existant (yet).. note 'Widespread'.

It's good tthat you're playing around with Ubuntu even in VMware, Happy to see that :)
